    Love NOLA but would never want to be there that time of year. I went with my late husband who was partly there for meetings so I entertained myself while he was gone, but the second night we were there, we walked out of a nice dinner at Galatoire's onto Bourbon Street, and some guy was throwing up on the pavement in front of me (I had a nice long skirt on and a silk blouse). Not nice!

    Re: 55vineyard – There is more to Mardi Gras than Bourbon St! I want to shout this from everybody balcony in the French Quarter until my throat bleeds! And DANGIT, she is not the Grand Marshal of 'Mardi Gras,' she was the Grand Marshall of the Endymion Parade!
