    I do not believe this story. While it is true that Jewish law prohibits one from getting a tattoo, if one already has one and then becomes more religious or converts, there is no need to remove them. A Jewish person can be buried in a Jewish cemetery according to almost all but the most strict groups. And it is unlikely that she would be a part of any of those groups. This story makes no sense.

    So silly if it's true. I don't get people who make religious demands on their significant others. If the entirety of your religious beliefs stems back from wanting a guy to marry then there's very little chance you actually BELIEVE in it anyways.

    I agree the story seems to be full of falsehoods but I do think if she chooses to convert, the tattoo of a cross might make her (and also her hubby) feel uncomfortable.

    People remove their tattoos for personal or professional reasons.

    Tattoo Removal does not have to be painful. This is a common myth. Numbing both topical or anesthetic can be injected. Good luck to you Drew in your removal process, posted by Patricia R., Nurse Practitioner @ been removing tattoos 15 years.

    A tatoo'd Jew can be buried in a Jewish Cemetary. There will always be some Rabbi's who will interpret the law or custom in the strictess sense.

    Everyone ALWAYS mis-applys this quote, and NEVER finish it. "make no mark,,,FOR THE DEAD" operative words are "FOR THE DEAD" Of all of the tattoos I know about, very few are , for the dead. I have on on my calf that clearly qualifies, we mixed my brothers ashes in the pigments for this 18 sq. in. piece.
