Country Star Mindy McCready Commits Suicide

This is the kind of news that we just dread having to report.

A month after her boyfriend, David Wilson, died under unknown circumstances, Mindy McCready's body was reportedly discovered today in Heber Springs, Arkansas, having passed from apparent suicide at the age of 37.

Sadly, this comes shortly after the country singer, who's troubles with substance abuse were well-documented on Celebrity Rehab, lost custody of her two children, entered an in-patient facility for treatment, and was quickly after released for outpatient services.

Our heart breaks thinking about those poor kids, and all the other family members, loved ones, and fans she's left behind.

We truly hope that if there's anything in which they can take solace, it's that at least now this poor woman's soul can find the peace she couldn't seem to achieve in her troubled life.

But it happens.. Sometimes a person cannot handle what life has thrown at them and decide to take it into their own hands. Rest in Peace, and condolences to the family.

    Man… I used to love watching everyone turn their lives around on Celebrity Rehab. Never seems to work. What's the death toll from that show now… Season by season. That would be interesting to see. Glad I never got on any junk and hope rehab works for someone out there. RIP.

    This makes me soooo sad! And Mad! I do have pity for those stuck in addiction, however DO NOT BRING CHILDREN INTO THIS WORLD! Haven't these kids been through enough! No Father and no mother because these two selfish people who KNOW they are a mess decide to have children! so so sad for those babies.

    Mindy you will be missed much by many…except for these people who go out of the way to post negative things about people..Especially when they have no clue what you were going through..I may not know either but I never judge..ONLY GOD CAN DO THAT..and last time I checked there was only one of him..R.I.P.     I can't imagine what it's like to be so horribly sad that they can't see any way out of the darkness. Especially having little children and family and friends, which she had. You know that she was so depressed that not even the positives outshine the negatives. Some people may judge, but I think it's sad that some people's lives come to this.

Some people suffer from serious mental illnesses and they don't know how to cope in healthy ways, they see suicide as their only way out. Please don't judge when you truly don't know what's going through people's minds when they decide to take their life.

    I understand how very sad it is to get to a place that you feel so low that suicide is your only option is horribly sad, however she did bring not one, but two children into this world! The second one was after Celeb Rehab. It is Selfish and I know people say you should not judge but what about these children? IT's not right! Do you know that you are at a much higher risk of drug abuse and suicide when you have a parent that commits suicide? Well her one child has TWO parents that did. What do you think the future for these two children will be? IT's not Fair! Don't have children if you can't even take care of yourself!

    I've had my issues with drugs, I struggle with depression due to true horrors in my past and I've thought suicide was my only option for relief. I have no problem saying that suicide is selfish, because it is, especially if you have children. Mental illness only affects you as badly as you allow it to. I know bipolar and schizo people who have learned to cope because they truly wanted to, because they knew suicide couldn't be the only answer. If you're willing to change and help yourself, you can achieve your dreams.

    She's attempted suicide before, she stated herself that she was struggling now, her children were taken away temporarily so that she could get treatment/counseling and be fit to take care of them, she'd been admitted (apparently) against her will for a couple of days to get her help…..and NO ONE thought to stay with her or have her stay with them so she'd have someone to talk to, lean on and to check in with regularly?

    Such a waste,at one time Mindy had a very Promising Career.Now when it is too late you have big name Country Artist saying how talented she was.Where were they when she needed there help and support.
    The Judge who took her children out of her home is partially responsible for her Death(he will never admit it though) he knew she had problems and was deprssed,he also knew how loosing her children would Destroy her,they were all she had left.I hope he has nightmares about this for the rest of his life.

Hate that she was even able to have kids. People should be put through psychological testing before reproducing. There are ways of dealing with addiction and suicide is NEVER the answer.
