Sandy Hook Murderer Hoped For Record Death Toll

This is just horrible.

Adam Lanza killed 26 people and then himself in December. It turns out he hoped to kill many, many more.

Law enforcement investigators believe the young man responsible for the mass-murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School planned to outdo the Norwegian man who killed 77 people in 2011.

Police say Adam was obsessed with the Norway killings and he working toward an even higher death toll. He picked an elementary school because it was the "easiest target" and it offered the "largest cluster of people."

Ugh. There are no words to describe the sadness this news puts into our hearts.

We continue to extend our condolences to the friends and families of all those affected by the senseless tragedy.

And this is exactly why news organizations need to start being careful about how they cover these kind of stories. How CNN, Fox, MSNBC and all the other news stations work, they focus on the perpetrator, they look into his life, and why he did it and they give him a voice…and its all it can take to make another sick person be obsessed and start planning something of their own. Make it about the victims.

Completely agree. Add to that posting about the shooters on a site like this (about celebrities) seems to glorify the killers (to me, at least). If you are writing an article about him on a celebrity gossip site, you are essentially implying that this guy is a celebrity now. He is not, and most people would recognize this, but those who are not all there mentally may think "oh, i can be famous too if i follow this guys foot steps".

Perez, I mean this in the nicest way possible. It's one thing to post a funny harmless video of a nobody on your site every once in a while. But you should really consider not posting stuff like this scumbag nobody coward among the celebrities. Please.

NRA: Everybody needs to fulfill their dream. That's why everybody should be allowed to have their own weapons. No bans!

This just proves it's not a gun problem. It's a media problem. The media hypes shooters up, sensationalizes them, makes them famous, etc. The media finds every detail of the shooters life, shoves it down everyones throat for weeks, making him famous in the process. It makes him a legend in a way, they get a giant footprint in history. I can name 4 shooters, I cannot name a single victim. Enough evidence right there.

Also the liberal media pushing their gun control is at it again. Don't you just love how this info could have been released weeks ago, but yet they wait until gun control debates are dying down only to release it to get started up again..Anyone else notice this?

Why are you posting this on this site? It doesn't belong here. It is bad enough that the real news agencies are probably going to report it, but to talk about it here on a gossip website is totally unnecessary and irresponsible and you are just increasing the chance that some psycho is going to see it and want to go beat that record. You act like you care so much about all the "senseless tragedies" but then you go and contribute to their cause. Whatever it is you tell yourself to justify the crap you do must be some pretty powerful stuff.

Re: MVPnis – He bought things over the internet. Importing things into the country over the internet concerning things like that has gotten a lot stricter after the shooting. And you do realise this is about the only mass shooting episode in modern Norwegian history? So yes I think a weapon ban helps prevent things like that…

Christian terrorism? No? I agree. This has nothing to do with Christianity. But then Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.

Re: MVPnis – The difference is that Norway has had one massacre of this nature, some nutter goes on a rampage every other month in America.

*sigh* Perez darling… there is zero thruth to this and it was admitted speculation. This is pure media bs looking for a story that isn't there.

"This is not official Connecticut State Police information and is someone's speculation regarding the case," Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance told Reuters in an email statement.

When asked if the CBS report was in any way accurate, Vance responded, "No."

Just another "story" trumped up to make a grab for guns. But way to go MSM!!!
