Oooo the English Royal Family must be wishing they could go all Queen of Hearts…
OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!!!
Acclaimed British author Hilary Mantel has gotten herself into trouble after calling future Queen Kate Middleton a "plastic princess" with no personality!
During Hilary's Feb 4th London Review of Books lecture, the writer painted a VERY negative depiction of Prince William's pregnant wife.
"[Kate] appeared to have been designed by a committee and built by craftsmen, with a perfect plastic smile and the spindles of her limbs hand-turned and gloss-varnished.
[Kate is] a shop-window mannequin, with no personality of her own, entirely defined by what she wore.
[She's as] painfully thin as anyone could wish, without quirks, without oddities, without the risk of the emergence of character.
Presumably Kate was designed to breed in some manners. She looks like a nicely brought up young lady, with "please" and "thank you" part of her vocabulary."
Obviously Hilary's opinionated judgements have ruffled MANY feathers, and her statements have even gained the attention of Prime Minister David Cameron, who reportedly expressed:
"What I've seen of Princess Kate at public events, at the Olympics and elsewhere is this is someone who's bright, who's engaging, who's a fantastic ambassador for Britain.
We should be proud of that, rather than make these rather misguided remarks."
No word as to what Kate OR the Royal Family's reactions have been to Hilary's comments — which were only recently made public — but we can't imagine the Queen and co. are too pleased!
What do U think lovely readers? Does Kate seem like a "plastic princess?"
Ch-ch-check out some recent snaps of Kate and her blooming baby bump (below)!
