It’s all coming together!
Just last week, we mentioned that rapper Lil Mama would be playing the role of Left Eye in VH1’s upcoming TLC biopic and now it seems they’ve found their Chilli!
Actress Keke Palmer is set to play Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and will star in the flick alongside Lil Mama and Drew Sidora, who will take up the role of T-Boz!
Though the 19-year-old was just six years old when Fan Mail was released — and only a year old when Crazy Sexy Cool came out — she still recalls looking up to the R&B threesome!
"I would sing No Scrubs over and over again to the point my parents would have to tell me to stop, but I never did, I had my little hairbrush as my mic and nobody could tell me I wasn't the fourth member of TLC."
Aw! Loves it!
Mz. Palmer calls herself a “true fan” who is looking forward to making the ladiez proud!
Despite all of this, however, fans of TLC have not been so eager to accept Keke’s new role, which led to her having to defend herself via Twitter.
Keke recently sent out a series of tweets, reading:
You tell ‘em, Keke! We think she’s a great fit for this role and totally see where she’s coming from!
Production starts up next month in Atlanta, with Chilli and T-Boz both executive producing, along with Bill Diggins and Maggie Malina!
