The Best Live Action Short Film category ended in a tie in 1994.

So no, you don't have to go back 44 years.

You stupid fucking piece of shit.

Just want to point out that you don't have to go back 44 years to find the last tie. In 1986, Artie Shaw: Time Is All You've Got and Down and Out in America tied for Best Documentary and in 1995 Franz Kafka's It's A Wonderful Life and Trevor tied for Best Live Action Short.
