The entire movie is a lie. Even Jimmy carter, the president at the time, says the Americans had little to do with the escape. It was all the Canadians. Guess that's why movies are just made-up stories and not history.
Jimmy Carter recently went on TV to say that 90% of the work in that crises was done by Canadians, yet this film lauds the CIA as the main heroes. Just wierd. Is it a better movie because of the nationality of the heroes? Makes no sense.
I was so happy for him, I almost started crying. They used to make so much jokes about him and I always felt so bad, but look at him now. So happy for him this season. Come on Matt, catch up. LOL j/k.
