Chris Brown Opens Up On Rihanna Assault! Calls It His 'Deepest Regret!'

Seth MacFarlane might have compared Django Unchained to Chris Brown's relationship with Rihanna on Oscar Sunday, but Breezy didn't let it bother him.

Instead he partied at Elton John's viewing shindig, opening up about the brutal violence he served to Rih back in 2009.

Now that the two have made their on-again/off-again relationship public, he admitted:

"Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals. That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake."

And while his road to redemption has seemed pretty half-assed to everyone outside of the Team Breezy camp, he acknowledges Rih's forgiveness and scoffs at the judgements of others:

"But she loves me - what can I say? I'm forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it. People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time. But they don't know me, and they don't know us. It doesn't bother me anymore. Other people can judge us but they don't know anything."

It's always interesting to us whenever celebrities say that. True, nobody should fully expect to know everything, but you'd think he'd want to try harder to use his platform for the greater good.

We may never understand every complicated layer of their relationship, and they don't give a f*ck if we do or not, but it'd still be nice to see, say, a huge heartfelt donation (of funds OR time) to empower the entire community of battered women… just a thought!

We've learned that his foundation very recently raised $50,000 for domestic violence programs, and we wanna see more goodness like that! It's on the right path, for sure!

It's harder for him because it's not like he was some average dude who lost his temper. When people make a deal to become superstars, there comes responsibility. You don't have to be a role model. But for decency's sake, don't underestimate the importance of your actions.

We believe in change, and we know there are exceptions to every rule, but maybe people wouldn't judge him so harshly and warn RiRi of future disaster if he stopped finding himself in other violent situations. Frank Ocean parking lot brawl, anyone??

Still, he insists he's a better person now, saying:

"I've learned a lot since that night and I've grown up. I was very young and I took a lot of stuff, fame, for granted. I didn't understand it. The support from those who do know me and the fans, who are incredible, got me through."

Well hopefully he's right. Hopefully all of the violent scenarios he's engaged in since have been enough for him to battle his demons. And hopefully he'll never take RiRi for granted again.

Hopefully the feud with Frank was the last straw. Hopefully he's truly committed to change this time around. Because this isn't some regular flaw we're talking about here.

He could truly become a shining example of the ability to change for those in similar situations. He's got the potential to show the world you don't have to stay in that statistics pool.

So swim, Breezy! Swim hard.

Just lost respect for Elton John. Why was this piece of garbage invited to his party?

I suggest you do your research before you claim that he didn't change and donate, because he did. The media just chooses to focus on negativity than positivism. Perez Hilton this is a good article you should read before you write about some one!

Perez, that's the first positive post about CB. Good on you! But the truth is CB does donate money to domestic violence support groups all the time. His charity raised 50k a few weeks back. I wish the best for Chris. Look to a positive future.

  4. Alex says – reply to this

He has donated and also has Symphonic Love.

He has not only done things through domestic violence programs. He's donated scholarships to kids in the arts. He's done things for disabled people. He's always been a supporter and gone out his way especially for kids. And this has been for years. But the media never wanted to report the good things. He's used his talent through not just music and dancing but even through basketball to help others. Yes He's made a mistake but aside from that he is a good person. No one wants to report about that though.

    Perez, you are an hypocrite.

Wow, so he really thinks he's the victim, huh.

  8. RainbowBrite says – reply to this

Why was he even invited? He hasn't redeemed himself. He has stopped using violence. Nothings changed and Rhianna is an idiot for taking him back. "They don't know me" Um yeah we do your dumbass can't stay out the news? He's a piece of shit but Rhiannas just as bad for rolling in it.

  9. RainbowBrite says – reply to this

Oh and to those going on about donations to charities. Big fucking deal. I could mangle someone and toss out cash too, no one would give a fuck. Doesn't redeem a person. Not to mention everytime he gets in a "Row" with someone, it sets him ten steps back.

I think Chris is a phenomenal fella, at the age of 19yr he took full responsibility for an action he did, which grown men, the likes of Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Tommy Lee, Sean Penn have never really openly taken, even though they are repeated offenders.
He did his court ordered punishment like a man in the face of the world mocking and jeering and still tried to maintain a positive outlook on life with a smile on his face.
He turned that event around into a passion by setting up Symphonic Love Foundation were they support talented Kids in schools/Art, DV homes, best buddies, HIV/AIDs, Helplines for troubled Kids/adult and many more. He attends charity events and supports them financially, he host celebrity basketball events for good courses and certain % of proceeds from all his tours goes to charity works and he has the SLF website were you can get all this information.

It's a crucial and important step to acknowledge and make amends. Notice the tone on here ramping down already.

Re: davis – Well stated, Davis…. Perez Hilton for once you seemed fair in your writing against this young man… Thank you. I am not him and I can appreciate your theme in this piece, can u imagine him. ENOUGH is ENOUGH, its time we lay this to rest. I was literally getting sick to the stomach of clicking on your blog, but now I feel the urge to visit and revisit.

Re: RainbowBrite – Who are u to say he hasn't redeemed hisself? He's redeemed hisself to the only person he needed to which is rih! Not some hater sitting behind a keyboard talking tough! He doesn't have to be a punk n let men start shit with him because they know his situation. Looks like your the piece of shit that cant get enough of him or Rih! Why else would u take the time to read n comment on someone your clearly jealous of!#PATHETICLOSER

  16. 16

Re: snikop – of course we're jealous of him. he is the popstar with the worst singing skills on earth but he made millions out of his "music"; he nearly killed his girlfriend when she found out he was having an affair but she is still blowing him; he still cheats on said-girlfriend but she stays with him; he is a criminal but people like you still celebrate him like some poor tortured soul who won back his former glory…

  17. 17

I am not a fan of his BUT oddly seeing him without Rihanna it's a lot easier to see pass his violent pass and take in him trying to change.. Even a little. It's like seeing them together your mind just subconsciously or automatically remembers " oh yea he beat her up"… He wants people to forget and move on, how about try to do more positive things and do it solo in public, just so people can know its all him and keep her in your private life. It might even help the relationship…when you work hard to keep things private, no one can comment on a damn thing.

  18. Sniffy says – reply to this

I don't understand why you refuse to acknowledge the fact that security video shows Frank Ocean and his "posse" starting that fight in the parking lot. Your researchers don't do a good job.

  19. 19

Re: mswilde – sadly i doubt snikop will grasp your meaning. some people seem to think domestic violence is forgivable just because you sell a few million records and your victim is delusional enough or high enough to ignore common sense

  20. diane says – reply to this

"deepest regret"…. to say the least…

  21. GetReal says – reply to this

Oh boo hoo. I find that I really don't care what he tries to spin at this point. He's had too many other outbursts since the Rhianna beating for me to care about either of them.

  22. Misty says – reply to this

Perez, do your research. Chris has a Symphonic Love organization where he donates to different causes, including domestic violence and talks to teens about it too. A little research can go a long way. Chris has apologized countless of times and works to show he's remorseful and cares to use his platform well, but you dont report on it. Isnt that judgement on journalism? When you start to practice what you preach, maybe then you can encourage others to do the same. Stop judging!

  23. Candace says – reply to this

Stfu Perez take your own advice and SWIM! Keep swimming till you find your soul. Never met some one as ugly…inside and out as you. #truth

Re: Henry – so sure Sir Elton John stays up nights wondering how to maintain the respect of Henry. Lmao….NOT

  25. Liz says – reply to this

Ummm…didn't he JUST donate $50,000 to a battered women shelter. You, Perez, or your cronies should do your research before making "half-assed" and untrue statements! Really! Disgusting

  26. YouSuck says – reply to this

CHRIS BROWN WAS NEVER A BAD PERSON!! for christ sake, just a stupid, careless teenager who did something bad, that may men in hollywod have done but have not recieved similar hate…he is allowed to move on, and learn from his mistake…but perez you are a complete hypocrate, who sells lies to the public.. and NEVER reports the truth

  27. Truth says – reply to this

White men are the biggest hypocrites on the planet, nobody listens to them. What about Charlie Sheen, Shawn Penn, Mel Gibson or even John Lennon?. These people received the same backlash? Lol. Shut up.

  28. 28

If Rihanna wants to forgive him, it's all her decision. I haven't gotten respect for him again yet due to his behavior since. While he hasn't beaten anyone up again (well except the incident with Frank Ocean), he sure hasn't been too mature about some things. He's definitely not someone to look up to right now.

  29. 29

And if something should happen to Rihanna again, I really have less sympathy for her.

  30. @v@ says – reply to this

Re: Truth – Bull. They already took their fair share of lickins on blurbs with THEIR names on the top. Just because you didn't pay attention at the time doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is about Brown, see the top pic? Pay attention.
