    Re: Mimi the Magnificent

    Aaaand you're racist.

    From a philosophical point of view on the theory of "otherness", the white group through its history of dominance cannot be the subject of racism. Minorities have the right to defend themselves against a race that constantly tries to show its superiority.

    Educate yourself.

    OH F*CK! You can't win if you speak out about it and you can't win if you're silent. I'm black and didn't think Lena was part of or agreed with Lisa's comments. She didn't address it and I forgot about it. Lisa is a comedian. I'm familiar with her type of comedy. Maybe she should have kept that shit it the comedy world.

    I don't think anyone, black or white, should use it just because at one point it was used to hurt people and no matter how many Rap artists use it, it apparently hasn't lessened the blow for a lot of people. However I don't get why there is a controversy, if you've ever watched a Lisa Lampenelli special, she uses it a lot and says she uses it. Not that I think it's okay, but its nothing new at least.

    Re: Mimi the Magnificent – …mimi the magnificent & et al: you might not even feel the breeze of a "racial slur" used "against white ppl" or "white" people…cuz thats just not how the dynamic has been laid out. {Hate is never cool and never ok against people we dont even know; aka hate crime laws try to back that up…but} Seriously, as white people as a group or in a "race" within this class culture - we have it privileged & easy. The days of "white Power elitism" may be numbered, but its still a time where white folks can just go with the flow. so, if somebody called us a name ONE day out of 365…its much easier to swat that fly. {and if you are in a situation where somebody is threatening you and the words they use to threaten and intimidate you are racial or hate driven thats another thing, either way, remove yourself from that garbage ASAP.}
