Is this a warm up for her autobiographical movie role?!

Susan Boyle has started filming her acting debut in The Christmas Candle on the Isle of Man and she's not in bad company either!

The former Britain's Got Talent contestant will be featured alongside Les Miserables' Samantha Barks and she couldn't be more thrilled to give acting a go!

The singing phenomenon said:

"I can’t believe I’m making a film. I’m very excited to be a part of The Christmas Candle. Everyone on set is a delight to work with and it’s a fantastic experience to be part of the team. I’m really enjoying getting dressed in the period costumes and stepping back in time and although it’s very cold filming on location, I’m wearing long johns under my bustle.”

The flick follows the legend of a village's beloved Christmas candle and the horror that plagues the village when the candle disappears.

Sounds fun!

We can't wait to see Susan AND Samantha on the big screen.

But with two striking singers, they must be lending their vocals to the flick, right?? And when will the tale be released in theaters??

Hey, that's great. Saw a pic of Subo in costume in the UK Daily Mail. She's made for those clothes. Looks really cute. I hadn't realized how little she is. Like a little, round kewpie doll.

The movie producers just announced Subo's singing an original song in a scene in the movie, and also the movie soundtrack.

I can't reply, it seems but wanted to say to those that "have not heard of Susan for some time"… she has recorded 4 CD albums by now, so if you really want to hear her, just search for her albums.

Subo has just said she's doing a duet with her husband in the film, James Cosmo (Braveheart, Trainspotters, etc.) Not a cameo, apparently. Real part and into second week of filming on location.
