The TSA Is Going To Allow Small Pocket Knives On Planes!

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueEtc.

tsa knives pocket small lifted ban prohibited blocked flying plane danger dangerous stabby

If you're one of those people that likes to carry a small pocket knife because it becomes super handy a few times a month, but always forgets to take it out of your pocket before you go to the airport, we have good news for you!

On the other hand, if you're someone who's afraid of being stabbed with a small pocket knife while flying thousands of feet in the air, you should probably be sitting for this:

The TSA is going to start allowing knives less than 2.36 inches long and less than ½ inch at their widest points. Anything bigger, especially with locking blades, razor blades and box cutters will still be banned. In addition to this, people will be able to carry-on sports equipment like billiard cues, ski poles, hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks, and two or less golf clubs!

The TSA hasn't really explained why they've had the change of heart, but we assume they figure as long as they can continue to ignore the 4th amendment that they're still winning!

How does this make U guys feel?? We're not so sure! Seems like we're setting ourselves up for people who can't measure holding up the lines! This new rule goes into effect at the end of April!

You probably don't bother yourself with the comments but I find it funny that you recognize that the TSA is violating the 4th amendment on a daily basis BUT you don't seem to believe in the 2nd amendment.

Unlike the rest of America, I don't live in a state of perpetual fear so no, this change doesn't bother me in the slightest.

This is a good thing, IF only any given flight you have many law abiding citizens who take advantage of this. The bad guys will always be outnumbered. I would say detractors against this new policy need to recognize how easy it is to sneak such weapons on flights anyways. So if bad guys want to be bad guys they are going to have these weapons on the plane regardless of what the laws are. Better they face a (hopefully) equally armed flying public.

Bush era has ended. Time Americans to stop being paranoid for nothing !!!

Obama has done a good job fixing international relations just like during Clinton era. Unlike Bush, Bush planted the seeds to create unbalanced around the world to increase fuel, gas and oil prices for his cronies.

Sad, Perez you are just a closeted Republican. Don't give up the day job soon ! :(

Please Sign My Petition to Reverse the TSA's New Policy Allowing Pocket Knives, Golf Clubs, and Pool Cues on Airplanes:

    Dear friends/family,
I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by April 05, 2013, the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

You can view and sign the petition here:

While im no fear monger, I believe in supporting the 2nd amendment and acknowledge these guys shit all over our 4th amendment rights, however, 9/11 happened because the carjackers had BOX CUTTERS. Planes are tense, if someone gets stabbed up there you're SOL. The banning of liquids, etc needs to be addressed not allowing people to carry pocket knives. They are giving a length limit, well all you need is a small 2 inch knife into the artery to kill someone…
