Now that Jimmy Fallon is reportedly being groomed to take over Jay Leno's coveted Tonight Show hosting gig, NBC is courting potential Late Night replacements…
And iconic, sassy radio jockey Howard Stern is apparently a BIG contender for the position!
The America's Got Talent judge does have previous TV experience — The Howard Stern show aired from 1990-1992, and E! featured a televised version of his radio show for 11+ years — AND he comes with an enviable rolodex (lolz)…
Plus he IS pretty effing outrageous. We think he would THRIVE on late night TV!

Never going to happen. First off, from what I've heard, Jay won't be leaving for at least 3-4 years. Second, there is absolutely NO way Howard would ever be the Late Night host, he's too old and too controversial for NBC. When Jimmy is replaced, it will most likely be by another former SNL member.

NBC trusts howard stern on AGT during primetime hours and live for that matter, why wouldn't they trust him late night.
Plus hes hardly old compared to the other late night. But I agree with Dee hell never do it and the radio show at the same time.
