24 Film Won't Happen Because Fox Refused To Pay Kiefer Sutherland!
Booo! Say it ain't so!
For eight long years (or eight extremely full days, depending on how you break it down) Jack Bauer kept America safe from terrorists!
Now, Kiefer Sutherland's days of brutalizing bad guys from the CTU are officially over. Confirming our previous fears, we just got word the 24 movie will NEVER be made.
Like a quick karate chop to the adam's apple, this blow is both surprising and painful!
Would-be director Antoine Fuqua revealed:
“Yeah, [24 is] not happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at all, definitely not with me. I met with Kiefer, Fox wanted to do it, it was a matter of his schedule before he went off to do his new show. I don’t think he was able to get a proper agreement with Fox. The time just passed, and I went off to go to what I was doing.”
Ugh!
After fighting off terrorists, spies, thieves, and corrupt politicians, we can't believe Jack Bauer was ultimately done in by a couple of stingy accountants at Fox.
It was a good run, guys! Hold your heads high!
