Well THIS is an interesting slice of rumor pie!

Not-always-reliable tabloid The National Enquirer is claiming that while Robert Pattinson's been away filming The Rover in Australia, Kristen Stewart has found ROMANTIC comfort in Katy Perry's assistant, Tamra Natisin (above)!

One "insider" — and we're using the term VERY loosely — shares:

"Rob will hit the roof when he sees photos of Kristen and Tamra hanging out together. It’s obvious to all of her friends that there’s a romance brewing between them."

HA!!

OK, somehow we DON'T believe this is true. Like, at all…

Especially since Kristen apparently has a simple night of intimate romance planned for when Robert gets back to El Lay!

BUT if it IS true, then it's obvious Kristen needs to be free to do her own thing, and if that thing means exploring a lesbian relationship, more power to her!

Although she should probably let Robert know about it in private BEFORE admitting to it in a public statement, LOLz! You know, like the last time she caused a change in their relationship status.
