Smash Getting The Kiss Of Death! Moved To Saturday Night!

smash moved to saturdays

This ain’t good news for Smash fans!

Being moved to Saturday night TV is pretty much like being put in a coffin and laid to rest in a failed TV show graveyard.

And that’s just what’s happening to Katharine McPhee and Smash as the show is moving to Saturday nights at 9 p.m. on NBC starting on April 6th.

Even though the show will continue to air, the ratings for the second season are HURTING.

It's true, Jennifer Hudson couldn't even save the show!

Unfortunately, the premiere only brought in 4.5 million viewers while numbers have been declining with the most recent episode getting less than 3 million viewers.

Well, if there is any show that can revive itself from near TV death, it's one with two formerly booted American Idol contestants who've gone on to bigger and greater things!

I really like the show, but it is all over the map. Too many sub-plots, too many characters with complicated lives. But the best part of the show is Ivy. She was a better Marilyn in every way.

The show was actually doing really well, UNTIL Miss Hudson showed up. Just sayin….

I loved this show…last season. Too many subplots and too many new characters who are dull and add nothing to the show. What ever happened to the show the centered around making a musical about Marilyn? It needs to get back to what was great about the first season. Sorry to say the show might not be around for season 3!

didn't bother watching at all this season. Last season was enough.

Ratings really bug me with t.v. shows. The fact that 3-4 million viewers isn't enough to keep a show going strong is rediculous.

This is my favorite show. The singing is awesome and the story lines are getting better and better. Don't cancel the show!!!!!

Re: Krista Lorenz – LOVED THE SHOW… couldn't wait for the new season… but there was virtually NO promo. Kept looking on net to find it. Then as Krista Lorenz says, this season's convoluded sub-plots aren't half as good as the show was. Now, they move the darn thing without any word. I've already missed episodes and am lost. This SUCKS! It was one of the best shows I had seen in quite a while. And, also like rosebud99 says, Ivy is FABULOUS!

Really love the show. I was sorry to see it move to Saturday night. It's the night for a show to be place before it gets cancelled altogether
I will truly be sorry to see it go.

I felt that even though the show splintered into many story plots and was all over the place. The music was so Good. I cant Let Go and The Love I Meant To Say are two of the best songs I have ever heard on Network Television….
