The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.
Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:
"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."
That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
She added:
"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."
Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...

Universal and Focus just said there's no truth to this and no one has been cast. Just last mo EL James said they need to hire a filmmaker and that casting is still pretty far off. I believe Focus even said Constantin has nothing to do with Fifty Shades.
Why do these younger actors feel like to break the mold they have to do something sexual? What about a thoughful indie type movie? Jennfier Lawrence did it perfectly. She did a thoughtful, emotional movie in Silver Linings, not something that showed off her boobs and sexuality.

Sources close to the situation tell us that while Watson may be on a studio wish list, she is still not attached to the movie at this time.
And with no director named yet for Fifty Shades, official casting news is still a ways off.
E L James even reiterated this fact, tweeting on Friday, “No casting decisions have been made yet.”
She's already said that she would never do that role. She has too much class.
