Madonna Dons Cub Scout Uniform And Presents Anderson Cooper With The Vito Russo Award At The 2013 GLAAD Media Awards!

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayMadonnaInspirationAwardzAnderson CooperLGBT

This was EVERYTHING we could have wanted her to say at such an important event - and so much more!

At last night's 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, held in New York, Anderson Cooper was the recipient of the "Vito Russo Award," which is given to an "openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality!"

While that itself is incredible and exciting news, Madonna was on hand to present her longtime friend with his honor, and donned a complete Cub Scout uniform for the occasion!

Ch-ch-check out her rousing, articulate and thoughtful speech, during which she called on the Boy Scouts of America to end its ban on gay scouts and scout leaders, criticized the Russian government for its imprisonment of Pussy Riot, and called for a much-needed social revolution here in the US of A (above)!

All we have to say is that Anderson is one lucky silver fox!

Her words have so much fire, passion, and most important of all, TRUTH, behind them, and we couldn't be more proud to have such a powerful ally in the fight for equal rights and a better tomorrow!

Seriously, this old lady needs to rest… like, in peace.

  3. 3

The QUEEN is a bad as M F. Seriously she inspires me to embrace age and get better with it, however it is done. OK.

    Re: bladder
Why would you need her as an inspiration to embrace aging and get better with it, whatever the hell that means? Stupidest comment ever.

  9. 9

It's great that she is standing up and supporting this but watching the video I really felt like she is there more for self promotion with her "look at me, I am perfect" attitude.

  10. 10

People comment about Madonna's age…age is wisdom….she knows her shit…besides, isn't Gag Gag the one in the wheel chair with a hip replacement? just sayin

You can play a drinking game and get pissy drunk off how many times Madonna says "I" in this video.

Madonna has not been aging gracefully. Her Super Bowl performance made me want to lobotomize myself in hopes that I might cut out memory. So I'd love to know just how she's inspiring anyone to embrace age. It's about time she phased into that 'Look at me, I have a cause' phase of celebrity's life.

  13. 13

Some people just don't get it. Estupidos. Love the QUEEN.

  14. 14

although she did have some very good points, why does she have to plug her tour and her music and herself when she was there to plug anderson? the egos of the overprivileged never cease to amaze me.

I thought it was nicely done, and her words sincere. He IS a freedom fighter, and a bad mother-phucker. He seemed to like it, and that's what mattered. Congrats, AC.

Re: bladder – if she was really embracing aging, we'd see her at her age, wrinkles, gray hairs and all. That's not embracing, dear; that's trying to fight the aging process, a fight all of us will eventually lose. Yes, you just dont get it.

Re: JC – Why do you care how she ages? WHy would you care how anyone ages? Get a life

  18. JC says – reply to this

Re: Luludelafalez – What are you "just saying" That injuries are related to age? Tell that to young sports athletes. PS it wasn't a hip replacement.

  19. JC says – reply to this

Re: BAEEAB – Responding to a comment is an indicator of not having a life? Then what the fuck are you doing here? FYI, I don't care how she ages, but dont say stupid shit like she embraces aging when it's clear it's not what she's doing. Got it, fanboy? Good, now go fuck yourself.

    Re: bladder

Maybe you should do that to yourself! So next time you look in the mirror you will forget how much of a prick you really are!

Boy Scouts is a non issue. Please look at GREECE people! The government has begun BANK RUNS on ATMS………coming to an AMERICA 'soon near you!' This means delicately before chaos ensues….uhh, complete and total bank closures where the banks would KEEP all of your money inside and you would not get it back. Now thats an issue and THAT is robbery! Maybe Madonna could dress up like 'Feta Cheese' and promote justice against criminality?

Re: caravaggio_retribution – Read up on ats. Russia has warships parked in the Medditerannean, and 50 to 80% of those deposits are Russian which is ironic, because tax in Russia is less than what they're proposing to grab here. (read that Germany actually wanted 40%! whether true or not.) A poster over there has said that Putin's counter offered 10 Billion cash to Cyprus to leave the bank accounts alone, and it would only actually cost him 5 Billion and he'd get a base of operations in Cyprus.
Hang on to your hat. This might be political wrangling more than economic haggling; and everything you read on sites could be all bogus.

Re: caravaggio_retribution – Plus Cyprus is allegedly a notorious off shore tax haven since Milosevic.

  28. 28

Madonna dressing up as a cub scout..during the whole thing. It really is sad morons don't realize celebrities do not care at all about any of these problems or people. They care about publicity and looking good in the public eye.

You really wanted to go somewhere with those comments. Lame, just like your user name.

I think the outfit is apropos, since her body is shaped like a boy. And since when did Wayland Flowers Madame come out of retirement?

Re: @v@ – Ohh my @v@! Its front page Drudge today! Good work as always. The Bank Runs have begun, and we are using non item Perez posts to talk about them lol. Hahahahahahahaha!

  32. 32

    Re: T

    So your point is relevant?

  33. @v@ says – reply to this

Re: caravaggio_the_humble – People are talking about it everywhere and publicly. A mainstream media analyst on t.v. today was baffled and claimed that grabbing funds is illegal with the way the EU legislation is set up. Half of the threads on GLP are expounding every which way on how this might go. Shrugs. Maybe Anderson above will do a big story.

  34. T says – reply to this

Must be. You responded. LOL And that was even less original and even more lame than your previous "zingers." Further proof of your idiocy. Thanks for playing.

Re: @v@ – Its beginning. This is how it will go. Bank runs begin in Europe, spread to the UK and then to the United States. Of the Banks in the US, B of A (Rothschild) has the most damage and will most like be let go to go under and collapse. All part of austerity. (They are already printing the new 'Deutchemark' in Germany in secret). The European Union will stay, but the Euro will collapse. They need to begin the wider war in the middle east first. Then they will stop bailouts across the board, then currencies collapse. Bankers then blame collapse on wider war and not themselves. All countries go back to their old currencies with period of gold and silver. A Breton Woods 1948 style type meeting is called to re evaluate all currencies and decide what will be the NEW World Reserve Currency. Then nations will release NEW issues of currencies with no Derivatives debt tied to them. Then the 1 for 2 OR 1 for 3 exchange begins swapping old devalued dollars for new gold backed ones. Thus, taking 50%-75% of everyones wealth who has not transferred into gold and silver assets before collapse. Weakening needed upon West to force World Government on the people. New World Order. Marshall Law>FEMA>Agenda 21>Codex Alimentarius>De-Population.

Re: caravaggio_the_factual – Cyprus voted 36 - 0 (16 abstaining) to reject the divisive bank savings tax today; so they're back to the drawing board. They'll have to figure something out to bring fiscal stability back to their system. They may not be able to be in the EU and may have to go it alone. I'm glad for the saving hopeful retiree poor right now, and not so much for those with enough for 100 lifetimes.

  38. @v@ says – reply to this

Re: caravaggio_the_factual – The money made from trading all that derivatives 'debt' went somewhere. Perhaps all the white hats out there, and I believe they do exist, will round up the majority of the ill gotten gains and inject it back into the system and your scenario may not unfold. With all of the computer tracks, the smarties could do it, more or less. They'd start with the offshore. The world needs a few fly right heros. If the objective is as you say, then buy property because good luck finding physical gold if you're a nobody.
