Stephenie Meyer Blames HERSELF For R-Patz And KStew's Relationship Problems! Quote Of The Day!

"Here's the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it's what they want. But that doesn't apply to Kristen and Rob. That's what makes it kind of ironic and tragic. I just don't think they enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either. At the same time - and this is where the guilt comes from - it's created this nice, peaceful place for me. They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about. If they had the choice, I've no idea if they'd even do Twilight again. I just don't know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.”

- Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, on the public scrutiny surrounding Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, to The Times Magazine.

Wow, well said and very thoughtful. And probably true.

Er… She's not talking about their relation problems.

Sorry, this is the dumbest quote ever. It's not like she put a gun to their head and said do this movie or else. If they aren't into the fame of it, then they should of became teacher or something completely different. Cut the crap.

people forget that not all actors want fame and celebrity. Vast majority work in mediums that dont make them famous like on stage or in minor obscure roles. They take the big roles because its a huge opportunity to secure themselves financially and then hopefully have a huge pick of interesting roles to play afterwards. Thats why the likes of Winslett have done smaller films since Titanic as she goes for the character roles not big budget fame roles. but nobody wants to be hounded by paps 24/7 and have their entire lives scrutinized. Plus sometimes you dont know how bad something will be until you get it. I agree with her that they may not have taken the roles if they knew what was coming.

well im glad KS took the role b/c she deserves every negative thing that has been and that will continue to be hurled at her. Suck it, skank!

It's not tragic, it's stupid. You don't get involved with someone you work with. Togetherness is fine but there is such a thing as too much. You start taking for granted that they will always be around and will forgive things that should not be forgiven (and I am not talking about the cheating) like being taken for granted.

Meanwhile, they're both set for life financially. Staying private is not that hard if you want to.

oh boo hoo! poor little rich kids, they could do something better with their lives if they wanted to, with all that money they have they could help humanity if they wanted to, but no, they have such difficult lives, get fucking real! Kristen would be fucking all the married directors she could find to have fame and once she is established would still fuck them all for better roles.

You people commenting all need day jobs. Too much hate in your hearts, go to church and go for job interviews then maybe you won't be so bitter towards people who actually have lives.

Helloooo everyone! Did anyone for just one second stopped and considered the possibility that they enjoy the whole bloody caboodle?! And as Miss Steward so eloquently stated in her interview, "let them wonder" (or some such) makes it rather obvious that there is not a grain of humility and class in her. So, I wouldn't worry about her "feelings" being hurt if anyone is bitching about her lol. I have a feeling that Mrs. Mayer hungers for a bit more attention herself and I detect a bit of jealousy in this statement, rather than fake "blame". People would do and say anything for a bit of publicity *shrugs*

I get what she's saying but only until she factors herself into it.It has nothing to do with her! This lady is a wackadoodle!
