Lil’ Wayne is on a lot of minds these days.
After a confusing health scare with still fairly unclear details, the rapper has been receiving a lot of concern and prayers from fans and friends.
And although Usher had a busy weekend himself as he made a surprise appearance during the concert of the indie rock group the Afghan Whigs at SXSW, Lil’ Wayne was not far from his thoughts.
He took a minute during the show to send love and prayers Weezy’s way. He said to the audience:
“I don't mean to bring everybody down, but right now I think I want to just ask something of you guys. One of my fellow artists, good friend, Lil’ Wayne, is going through a real hard time right now, y'all. And I just want to send a lot of positive attitude about his state. And a lot of positive energy out there right now. Can you guys make some noise for Lil’ Wayne one time? You know it's ultimately about positive energy. You believe in that? So one time make some noise.”
While initial reports stated that Weezy was being read his last rites, it has since been reported that he actually overdosed on sizzurp and is expected to be fine.
We hope this health scare has made him realize the high isn’t worth it.
We wish the best of luck to Lil’ Wayne with his recovery!
