Please. This is not what happened. Melanie doesn't own the store - she owns the building the store is located in. And she bought the building after showing it to Miranda, thinking she could then sell it to Miranda and make more money. But Miranda didn't bite. Some other people recently opened a store in the space and for some reason Melanie took Miranda in and said it was HER store, and they apparently got into it. Then Melanie called the National Enquirer and said a bunch of stuff that wasn't true. That part doesn't surprise me - I went to school with Melanie starting in 5th grade and she's been a trouble-maker as long as I've known her.

Melanie Peden is the town loon. Everyone in Tish knows this and people close to this story knows that what she said to the National BS rag is completely FALSE. Peden called Miranda a 'fat ass' several times, which eventually Miranda had enough and told her off.

Peden is so full of it, the Police here in Tish could care less about this whole thing.

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.

Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:

"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."

That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:

"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

She added:

"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."

Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...

As for her transition from Disney teen idol to mature pop star, she said:
