They probably referred to it as an ad because it's all just political propaganda to further the gun control agenda.

How many of those deaths were in Chicago(gun free)? How many of those deaths were innocent civilians using the right to bear arms to protect themselves from rapists, murderers etc?

Re: Duh – No matter, there are still over a million people dead from other people using guns on them. They aren't any less dead. Your Neocon hypocrisy isn't going to work forever. People are getting wise to the NRA propaganda. I'm with the other guy on here. Read a book. Get your head out of your ass.

Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by (UNLAWFUL people using) in the U.S.A. since John Lennon was shot and killed on december 8, 1980.

You can't justify the guns laws. At all. You don't need a gun to survive. Peoples reasoning behind it is just ridiculous. This is partly the reason Americans are so hated; because of their bigotry and self-righteousness… Innocent children have died because of guns. You hear in the news all the time how nutters are let loose into schools with guns in America. You hardly ever hear of such occurrences anywhere else!

Re: Calvin – 1 in 10 people die every year because of salt maybe we should make salt control laws too. 30 people a year die from accidents in their beds, holy shit I am scared to sleep in my bed tonight LOL.

55 million babies have been aborted since Roe. V. Wade…

I bet she didn't even look at the numbers that show how many lives have been saved or crimes stopped because a law abiding citizen was able to stop a criminal WITH a gun.

The picture Yoko Ono posted was meant to shock people into realizing how serious the gun issue is in America. I agree that something has to be done, BUT no matter what laws are passed people who want guns will still be able to get them illegally.

One thing that might help with this problem is to re-examine the mental health issue in this country. Too many patients are released before they should be due to no space, or the lack of funding. A lot of them end up murdering senselessly because they don't continue to receive the proper care.

As far as controlling teens who go into schools and murder innocent children without reason, I'm at a loss what we can do. Even schools who use all the proper security measures can't keep guns out of school. Perhaps it all comes down to parenting. We've got to know what's going on in our children's minds at all times. I know that's almost an impossible thing to do, but if parents paid more attention to their kids, maybe - just maybe - we could prevent such tragedies from occurring.

So, we have had 1,000,000 deaths in 33 years out of 90+ MILLION gun owners and 311 million people? I'd say that's very, very low considering most of that is GANG VIOLENCE. Considering almost 60% of gun homicides are done by people that already have a record.

Why is your government privately buying 2 billion rounds of hollow point AND sniper grade ammunition? Why is your government (speaking to passive liberal democrat marxist-leninists) about to FEDERALIZE ALL COUNTY POLICE OFFICERS in the near future?

She's 100% right!!!! After all these years, lunatics are still able to get guns and blow people away, nothing ever changes. It's sad that we never learn. Who is still thinking about those 20 children from CT? Who is thinking about john Lennon (a man that could have impacted this world further if he had the chance)? Mentally ill people are still being ignored but getting the last laugh. The USA still has their heads up their asses. We fight wars that DON'T concern us and occupy countries we have no business being in. All while our soldiers are protecting countries of people that HATE us and our own babies are being shot in schools or the other day a 13 month old shot in his stroller in the face while his mother watched in horror.
And re:Jill's comment, I don't understand you pro lifers, are you one of those weirdos that believes in shooting the dr's that perform abortions? This world is so screwed up that I would rather let people have the choice.
