Its his formula. Baby formula does that. If he is trying hard to push it out, put his legs up a bit, as if he was sitting on the toliet, and that might help him be able to push it out. That worked with my child, who used o get constipated alot as a baby.

Glycerine suppositories are magic. Once he is old enough for baby food then feed foods that start with "P". Pears, peaches, prunes, peas.

Your kid is going to be embarrassed when he gets older and realizes you posted crap like this about him.

Re: thebigboot – Spinach is also magic. My daughter blew out a diaper over spinach.

Try low iron formula for a change. You can alternate it with regular every other day but it helps with constipation.

Perez try Baby Gia. It's a probiotic for babies. Works great. You can get it at baby boutiques sometimes at Walgreens, probably other pharmacies too. I've been using it since my LO was 2 months. Works like a charm.

Goat milk-It's much closer to mothers milk than anything from a cow. My daughter had food allergies (milk eggs wheat…..) When we gave her goats milk (as per the pediatric allergist) everything got much better. Good luck with your little one. It gets easier. I promise!

That's what happens when you rip a baby from it's mothers arms without allowing it to breast feed for at least six months to satisfy your own need for attention an selfish fame whoring behavior.

Re: LookatYou – Maybe the mom did feed him for the first while, and is pumping for him now. We don't know. I know he's on formula as well for sure.

This crap should be in a baby book or emails to your mom/doctor, not on a gossip site. Don't embarrass yourself or your kid, Perez.

Perez, don't use Karo syrup. Use Little Remedies stimulant laxative in his bottle….Karo is way too strong and harsh. LR tastes like chocolate and is very mild. My daughter is five years old and I still use it every now and them with her. Be gentle with that precious tummy. :-)

Re: LookatYou – and look at you on his website because you are a sad sad little person looking to better yourself by bullying others. You probably weren't breast fed either. You were probably hatched.

Hi Perez, some of these comments are so horrible and mean.
I have a five month old and I know exactly how stressful being a new parent can be!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with formula feeding.
Studies have shown that formula feeding can be just as beneficial for your baby as breastfeeding.
I formula fed my son from 5 weeks because of a myriad of reasons, I could not successfully breastfeed. I tried very hard.
My son is now on solids and hates drinking water on it's own so he does get constipated often. I was advised by my maternal and child health nurse to add 20ml of extra water to his bottles.
Because your son is still young you could add an extra 10ml to a couple of bottles and see if that helps.
I have heard that it takes time for babies to actually enjoy drinking water so try not to worry too much.
Once you start him on solids try pureed prunes for breakfast.
    Hope the information helps!

It could be "hard poop". Sometimes a piece of hard poop blocks them from going. I took my daughter to doctor and he inserted a long qtip with lube into her bottom to break it up and the flow started immidately. But sometimes it is formula and you have to try a few diff ones to see what works. Little Remedies does help. Good luck.
