Ashley Judd Says 'No' To Washington! She Is NOT Running For Senate!

And we were sooo looking forward to seeing her in cleavage-flaunting power suits, too!

Ashley Judd broke the hearts of just about everyone in Kentucky this afternoon as she announced she will not be running for U.S. Senate!

The 44-year-old actress delivered the disappointing news via Twitter, promising that she'd continue to fight the good fight, but that right now wasn't the right time for her to make her run.

She admitted:

It's sad the Double Jeopardy star won't march on Washington any time soon, but we totes respect and understand that she values her commitments to her family!!

We're sure she will continue doing great work within her community!

Love Ashley Judd! Her mother should be ashamed of herself! She was a horrible selfish mother!

All three major State Universities had their social science dept. do a poll on "political thinking" Monday and Tuesday. The last question was Mitch McConnell or Ashley Judd, I asked the pollster if she was serious. Miss Judd has a French degree, was given a French degree…& the rest is ridiculous, she salivates over KY the Angelina drips at third world countries. She wants to help but in a superior kind of way. She is pretentious and spends little time w/ Kentuckians (wtf). My whole family is more educated than Miss Judd….are we the potential she is talking about or those poor out of work Miners I am no fan of Mitch but there has to be s/thing else to do to feed that ego. Oh yeah I guess the Poll didn't go well and the Kentuckians weren't so important.

She conveniently says AFTER realizing NO ONE would vote for her!

your family hmmmm? I don"t think Wynona will need your cameo in DWTS much longer. Is ancestry.com in your inbox….Or did you actually hang out out w/ some people from KY.

    Poll numbers….Pesky

Believe…no one is disappointed. She is self righteous and out of touch with what it means to be from Eastern KY. Flying in for KY basketball (when we are on a high) does not constitute the true meaning of bleeding blue. If she is so against mining and that little golf course in Prestonsburg (because hillbillies don't golf, right), then let's see her PSA on a solution for the people and small businesses that are suffering. Anyone can fly in (First Class) from Hollywood and talk about all the things that are wrong, but was in the alternative. The true reason she is announced she is not running is because the Democratic party knows that she would never be elected and was not asked to run. Maybe she should focus on her failing career as an actress or get in touch with the TRUE BLUEGRASS..Suck it Ash!

This is only "disappointing news" because now we can't make fun of her when she gets crushed in the election. Doesn't this woman realize that as a Senator you actually have to have critical thinking skills? Oh wait, sorry, I forgot she's a Democrat. They lead with their emotions and not with their intelligence.

Re: True Kentuckian – As a fellow eastern Kentuckian, i agree. I don't know of anyone in the area that cares anything for her. She's fake and comes off incredibly insincere. Her comment about "our' Commonwealth is a joke considering, up until she started considering the Senate run, she was a resident of TN.

Furthermore, it's presumptuous of the article writer to assume that we'd be forever loyal to her just because she was born here. My heart's not broken and I never shed a tear. But I am curious of these "great works" she did within her community, as I've not heard of anything she's ever done for us.

And even though I don't golf, I'm proud of little P'burg and StoneCrest.

Word is the Clintons squashed her intentions. She was only polling about 8 points behind McConnell- not too bad for a 'hollywood liberal' in a red state. seems the dems have someone else in mind who polls way better

Re: irvinegirl – Ahahahahaha! the word intelligence belongs no where near the republican party. Y'all don't even believe in math or science let alone banking regulations or comprehending why a woman has to have the right to choose. and y'all still think the wealth will trickle down after 30 years of it only flowing up. ROFL!
