Remember back in 2011 when a man named James Braddock sued Angelina Jolie, on the grounds that she allegedly stole key elements from his book The Soul Shattering for her movie on the Bosnian War, In The Land of Blood and Honey?
Well, guess what?!
The case has FINALLY been resolved, and it looks like the actress/director is in the clear!
WELL. Not officially. Just tentatively!
But it's looking good for her!
According to U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee's ruling today, there were NOT enough similarities between the content featured in the two mediums to warrant an actual copyright violation, and therefore, Braddock must be able to successfully show cause why the suit should not be dismissed with prejudice by April 12th!
Yeah! Good luck with that!
This guy's gonna need it, we think!
What do U think?? Was Angie's movie a copyright violation of this guy's book?
