Margaret Thatcher, one of Britain's most controversial Prime Ministers, has sadly passed after suffering a stroke.

She was 87.

Her spokesperson said in a statement:

"It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning."

Regardless of what people may have thought of her post-War policies, she was a force to be reckoned with, and will be missed.

May she find peace.

    Oh Perez, Perez… (sigh)

Re: overthere – Oh, you fool. Margaret Thatcher was still known as a post-War Prime Minister in Britain. Pre-1945 is pre-War, post-1945 is post-War, it's not rocket science. Perez actually got it right, wahey!

RIP you horrible yet incredible woman. She changed Britain forever, whether that change was good or bad is debatable.

Re: anon – 1979 is reaaaaaly pushing `post war` though, he could of mentioned the Falklands, she is a `tad` more known for that than WW2….

Re: anon – You are the fool. Nobody talked of this criminal as a post-war Prime Minister. She single-handedly destroyed what the British working class had won and stripped it of its pride and money. Good riddance !

Being powerful is like being a lady,
if you have to tell people you are, you aren't

Re: overthere – I think he meant post-war, as in the Falklands war, not world war.

I go along with the wicked witch theory. People forget what she was really like - a monster who destroyed Britain and made it the selfish unpleasant country we now have to live in. Yes, ROT IN HELL.

Good! She ripped the heart and soul out of the every day working man. The ruthless elitist bitch had decent premise on many things but her execution was horrific. I have yet to meet a person that was saddened by this news.

Nobody says or reads "post war" and think about the Falklands. In Europe, when you talk about "post war", evertybody hears WWII.

Anyway she wasn't that much loved, people back then hated her. Pretending otherwise is idiotic. I was a little kid at the time she was PM, but I remember her as a monster. And I'm not even British.

Thatcher is not an example for women in politics at all. She has unknowingly closed the door on their ever being another female PM in the UK, a good example to women in politics is Merkel in Germany or Nicola Sturgeon in Scotland who is Deputy FM.

Thatcher stood AGAINST feminism, she stood for supplying weapons to people such as Hussein and Pinochet, thus was as culpable as them in their mass genocide campaigns!

She ruined any output the UK had, such as coal mines, metalworks (which she insisted would be cheaper to import from Sweden…wrongly), she openly is known to have planned the "downfall of Northern England and Urban Scotland" as they were Labour strongholds, and filled with the working class.

She "trialed" the poll tax on Scotland and only Scotland for the same reason, all the while she took away free milk for school children, removed the regulation on bankers, like Reagan did in the states, and stood for the rich yuppies in London.

And Perez, you'd despise a women who in 1986 passed a law that prohibited the education of children on homosexuality and aids, wouldn't you? She was the scum of the earth, a woman with no compassion for the masses, and one whos death will be celebrated in Scotland.

I raise a class to her death…although unfortunately her legacy continues to live on in the UK with our current Conservative leadership, but at long last, the working classes who suffered at her hands can finally rejoice:

DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!
