One Direction To Take Four Month Break Before Recording Next Album?! That's WAY Too Long!

| Filed under: Music MinuteOne Direction

one direction four month break

Nooooo!! One Direction has been working too hard. And that’s never a good thing. For anyone.

Apparently, the boys have asked to take a four month break before they begin recording their third studio album. But this could be a very, VERY bad business move… And their management agrees!

A source revealed:

"The boys are working incredibly hard and are in desperate need of some time off… They want to take a full four months off at the end of the year but management are keen for them to release another album while they are such hot property.

He also added:

“In an ideal world the record label would have another album out in time for Christmas, but that won't be possible… The boys want to take time out and write most of the third album themselves… But management know the group can't take too much time off to make the next record like Adele does because teenage fans are so fickle.”

We totes understand the need to “keep the band-wagon rolling” — and we know for a fact Directioners aren’t going to be very happy about this one.

Nothing’s official just yet! But four months?! That’s, like, AN ETERNITY!

they need the break Perez. Those boys get worked like dogs by the label. it would be awfully cruel to end this exhausting world tour just to go right back into the studio so label can make money off of them.

they DEFINITELY could take four months - they could even wait a year tbqh - to write and record a new album without fading. like obvs they'll fade a little but every artist that takes time does. it's my belief that artists who take their time provide better material (except jonas bc pom poms is crap lbr). it used to be the norm for artists to release a new record once every two or three years. now labels feel they need to pimp out their artists and force them into recording a mediocre album once a year instead of letting them grow and develop.

as a 1D fan, i would love it if they could get the time off to just relax and then go back to the studio and record something that's more meaningful, more personal. let them try their hand at song writing. kelly clarkson did it and she's doing just fine now.

Re: c – Not every artist. Justin Timberlake took almost 7 years and is selling better then ever. I think One Direction could take some time and still retain their fan base.

There label knows boy bands don't last long, they are only relevant for a max 5 to 7 years and they just fade away and become irrelevant. So they are trying to milk there cash cow as much as they can before it's over for good, which it will be pretty soon.

this is why bieber the lezbo never takes a break because he knows time is running out fast and he has to get it while he still a cute teen. he cant afford to take years or even months off. as for working too hard…theyre TEENAGERS. they should have tons of energy and its not like theyre working down mines theyre doing an enjoyable job and making millions. quit whining!

Re: tasha – JT has a much wider demographic of fans. He appeals to an adult audience and an RnB audience so its a silly comparison.

I'm not going to be mad if they take a break, I think they deserve it after rehearsing and performing for most of 2013. It's worth it to hear songs they write themselves. It takes time to create music. Taylor Swift releases an album every 2 years, so why can't One Direction wait a few months?

Oh thank goodness I was just thinking these poor boys need a break I feel like they've been a bit less enthusiastic and fun and excited than they were when they started out. Dudes need to take some time away from being all famous all the time I bet it's freaking exhausting. I'll still love you 1D!

The management really don't get it. OF COURSE we want them to release new albums, announce tours and other stuff but I can tell you what we ALWAYS will priority - their happiness, and I think it's SAD that I even need to defend their HEALTH. I think management is wrong. I think that One Direction could las longer if they weren't denied longer breaks. The fact that they would like to be more involved and write more on their own is great. As a directioner I'd just like to say - I'd definitely prefer less albums/singles that they've written on their own than a nonstop machine that literally throws out new 1D-songs. THE … MANAGEMENT DON'T UNDERSTAND that we CAN WAIT.

We just want them to enjoy this. And we would NEVER expect them to work this hard.
JUST GIVE THEM A BREAK FOR GOD'S SAKE.

I like One Direction as mush as the other fans. But I want them to be happy. So OF COURSE they can have a break. It's what all the true Directioners want. They don't need anything to stay on top. They don't need to release albums months after months. Carrie Underwood releases one album every other year and she's just fine. AND THEY'RE ALREADY GOING ON A 2014 WORLD TOUR. So management needs to give them a break. They need time with their families and other friends that got left behind in England/Ireland. Remember that after they were on the X Factor, they went straight into making albums and tours. They barely get to see they're members of their normal life. What I'm trying to say is that they deserve they're break. For however long it is, Directioners will wait patiently for them to come back to us :)

Re: Lasqueesha – um…no. They aren't teenagers. They are young adults and they are all almost in their 20's. They also have been working hard, making albums, getting up at 3:30 in the morning to get ready for the show later that night, and doing show after show after show. They have been doing this for 3 almost 4 years! They do not need more energy. They already have as much as they could! THEY NEED THIS BREAK
