Same-sex marriage is an injustice, an insult to the noble faculty of reason, and an absolute mockery of: the Laws of Nature, civil society, and the preservation and perfection of mankind.

The broken families which same-sex marriages purposely create are necessarily vicious toward those naturally occurring consanguineous obligations between family members from which nations, sociability, and benevolence have naturally emanated.

Children are not pets one purchases from rescue shelters(adoption clinics) and puppy mills(insemination and surrogacy). Children are human beings endowed with a natural desire to be procreated from an engendered act of love between a husband and a wife. Same-sex marriage is adulterous by nature and thereby destructive to not only children, but to our civilization.

In fine, same-sex marriage is an unnatural extravagance which the supporters most ignorantly claim to be a “right”.

“No one has a right to do that which, if everybody did it, would destroy society.” —Immanuel Kant

It would seem obvious that they would support gay marriage since they're both lesbians. But kudos to them for using their new found popularity and platform for good. They're a great group that I've loved for over a decade, so I really hope that they don't get chewed up and spit out by mainstream media.

Re: HarleyD – I'm torn. I'm happy that they are getting much deserved success, but am cringing at the thought of them being "mainstream" now. Re: Jean-Jacques Burlamaqu – Something tells me that you just want attention since you are spouting this drivel on a very open homosexual's blog, but I will go ahead and play along. Let me shoot down two of your "points. There are many heterosexuals who choose NOT to procreate, myself included. So by your logic, I shouldn't be married, which I am. Apparently, you have deluded yourself to think that here in 2013, marriage only serves the purpose of creating children. BULLSHIT! Secondly, when man and woman start honoring the sanctity of marriage, then and ONLY then can they have the right to behave self righteously, like yourself, towards gays who only want the same rights as everyone else.

Re: Jean-Jacques Burlamaqu – well get used to it, because gay-marriage isn't going anywhere. You can either a) accept it or b) continue making your useless comments on a celebrity gossip site. I love how people are surprised that Tegan and Sara would support gay rights and marriage on such a public platform such as the Tonight Show. Umm hello? They are both openly gay and from Canada. No hatred towards Americans but we actually don't persecute people for who they fall in love with. The same story (their appearance and performance on Leno) is covered in our media and there wasn't even a mention of the gay issue. It doesn't matter.

They are definitely a band with their hearts in the right place…not the first time they have supported LBGTQ awareness…check out their t-shirt they made for it.

You wrote, "In fine, same-sex marriage is an unnatural extravagance which the supporters most ignorantly claim to be a “right”."

    And you are VERY WRONG.
The Supreme Court has said that marriage is a "fundamental right" and a "basic right of man". In fact, the SCOTUS has said that marriage is a "right" 14 times. The law says that we must be treated equally under the law in regards to rights…and marriage is a right.

great electro-pop song, epic. but these two are not strong singers live, and should have backups to help them.
