Jason Segel Attending Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings Following Michelle Williams Split?!

| Filed under: Love LineHeath LedgerSad SadMichelle WilliamsJason SegelHealthAlcohol

Jason Segel and Michelle Williams

Apparently Alcoholics Anonymous isn't so anonymous after all.

Jason Segel is so heartbroken over his breakup with Michelle Williams that he has allegedly turned to the bottle.

Oh no!!!

Fortunately though, the This Is The End star has supposedly recognized his growing dependency and has started to attend the 12 step meetings.

It has been reported that at a meeting on March 2, Jason told the room of fellow alcoholics that he was sober 12 days after listening to other attendees stories for about an hour.

While we're sad to see Jason this sad, his breakup could also be responsible for saving his life if he really has alcoholic tendencies.

We all know Jason loves to party, but we also know alcoholism is no joke and poor Michelle has been through plenty thanks to her ex, Heath Ledger, and his fatal addiction.

If you do in fact have dependency issues than we're rooting for you, Jason.

Just remember it is one day at a time!!!

    This is low.
    WHAT YOU HEAR HERE
    WHEN YOU LEAVE HERE
    LET IT STAY HERE
It's Anonymous for a reason. Respect his privacy.
As someone who is part of the fellowship you've completely crossed a line here. COMMON sense, mate.

  5. 5

Wow…'thanks to Heath' ….what a fuckin cheap shot…fuckin christ Perez you're an asshole even towards dead people….wow Jason is addressing his 'problem' which should have been left private…but nope u blame dead people and ruin living people's lives…grow the fuck up…someone better call DSS on you soon and save that baby from your toxicity and arrogance

Shame on you for reporting this and shame on whoever was at that meeting that reported it. How can you expect celebrities with addiction issues to get help if you are willing to stoop so low?

It is called ANONYMOUS for a reason. You weren't even there. Have some RESPECT!

Shame on you!!!! It is called "Anonymous" for a reason!!! If you had a source tell you this information it should have stopped with you. Perez, one minute you seem as if you have changed your ways and then another you do things like this that are just so wrong. I am so happy that you have a son, but you need to think of the example you are setting for him when you do things like this. Who cares that you maybe "got the info before anyone else?" Be respectful. Paparazzi pics are one thing, but invading someone's privacy in regards to a sacred program that is founded upon anonymity is incredibly wrong. I am so disgusted.

Did you think there was anything wrong before you posted this item? "Anonymous" groups are sacred. This is not Lindsey Lohan being forced into Rehab. This post crossed the line. I understand that celebrities day-to-day lives are now fodder, but there are boundries. You have shown great growth in yourself, continue this by pledging not to "out" folks when they are being proactive getting the help they need. I applaud anyone with the strength and resolve to do what they can to make their lives better. Perez, your quotes are full of positivity and strength, but your actions will need to be integrous with your words if you want to be a strong model for your son. This is one of "those lines" you do not cross!

wow, apparently you couldn't stay "nice" forever. This is below the belt. do the right thing and remove this, it's no one's business but his own.

  12. AO says – reply to this

    12

This man's privacy would not be invaded if you and other celebrity bloggers respected the line of what's appropriate to share. Can't you have some consideration?
    SHAME ON YOU.

Re: Jack – I agree. Perez you are an inconsiderate ass hole. It's Alcoholics Anonymous. Let someone get the help they need without your dumb fucking blog posting about it. This is so irresponsible

  14. Bronwyn says – reply to this

    14

    SHAME on YOU!
While a lot of events in an actor's life remain public, the program of AA has absolutely NO business being put out for public fodder.
If he indeed has a problem and is taking steps to arrest the behavior, than he should be allowed to do so in the privacy of these meetings. When you "OUT" people and their problems, you only serve to force them underground.
This is his story to tell if he wishes, NOT YOURS.
How many more will resist getting help for fear of public humiliation and reprisal.

  15. josgarcia420 says – reply to this

    15

i love this site but YOU NEVER should report about people in AA unless he came out and said it!!

  16. Flipper says – reply to this

    16

    Perez you SUCK!!!

You are such whores. Something very private like this and you pretend you f%%ing care. Like an earlier comment, it stays there. Respect the program. Maybe you need it. Maybe your child will benefit from your own self reflection.

  17. 17

jesus chrIST PERV-ez, you continue to prove you have ZERO ethics or journalistic integrity. COMPLETELY CLASSLESS ASSHOLE

  18. 18

Re: josgarcia420 – " in AA unless he came out and said it!! "
which he of course should NOT DO. "anonymity at the level of press radio and films"

  19. rubinectar says – reply to this

    19

HOW DARE YOU EVEN REPORT ON THIS!!! AS A MEMBER OF AA IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT ANYONE WOULD EVEN STOOP TO THIS LEVEL AND REPEAT WHAT IS CONSIDERED CONFIDENTIAL IN THE ROOMS!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THE FACT PEREZ THAT YOU WOULD HAVE THE NERVE AND DISREGARD TO REPORT THIS AS NEWS ONCE AGAIN SHOWS YOU HAVE NO COMPASSION, ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS THE STORY…..I NEVER FOLLOW YOUR SITE HOWEVER SOMEONE IN A MEETING SPOKE ABOUT THIS……YOU JUST HAVE NO SPINE!

  20. Shannon says – reply to this

    20

Whether one is a member of AA or not, there is a very specific respect that NEEDS TO BE appreciated. If a man is attending a meeting, he feels that he has no other choice and is in serious danger. By outting someone's anonymity, there is a strong chance they may not return. AA needs to be a safe environmen in order to be effective. This is a LIFE OR DEATH matter.

Please, respect AA and it's members.

  21. 21

Bad form Perez. It was bad enough that Radar posted this story, but is there no line you will not cross? Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of AA. It allows those who may need help a safe place where they can seek support in their time if need without fear of judgement. The individual who sold this story to Radar has no soul. You have no conscience for repeating it. Shame on you.

  22. lorraine says – reply to this

    22

"Thanks to Heath Ledger" you idiot. Whether or not Heath had a substance abuse problem has nothing to do with why he died. It was a mix of sleeping pills with his regular medications. Dude, you or your people are so bad at reporting shit. You suck at life.

  23. Jo says – reply to this

    23

Perez, it's call alcoholics anynomous for a reason. I agree with the majority here unfortunately. Shame on you for reporting this. Respect should be afforded anyone going through recovery,

  24. DEBBIE says – reply to this

    24

P - you shouldn't comment on what happens or supposedly happens at 12 Step meetings. They are anonymous. If you are going to tell the world he's going to AA, at least don't tell the world what is going on in the meetings. It is disrespectful and dangerous to people who rely on those meetings to stay alive.

  25. Some1 says – reply to this

You morons know very well what this site is about. If you don't like it, kindly eff off.

  26. Mkhay says – reply to this

this shows how much of a fucking asshole you are. Im embarrassed for your child.

  27. Lauren says – reply to this

    27

This is disgusting. I cant believe you posted that he's going to AA meetings. AA is suppose to be a safe for people to get help. People like you are now going to make it a unsafe place. WOW. This is just awful

  28. Michelle says – reply to this

    28

Isn't it supposed to be anonymous? It's a shame he can't seek help without it plastered everywhere.

  29. Elle says – reply to this

    29

This is fucked up!!! He should have privacy!

  30. Wilson says – reply to this

    30

This is an absolutely disgraceful story to post on any celebrity blog, no matter how low the standards for tabloid fodder might be. Publicly disclosing someone's attendance, and even going so far as to discuss his contribution, at an AA meeting completely undermines the life-saving recovery process that these meetings offer to millions of people, celebrities and otherwise.

I have been a Perez reader for many years, but after seeing this post, I am thoroughly disgusted with the website's choice to publish content that so blatantly infringes upon ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, and will never return. You should have more respect for those willing to address their health, grow spiritually, and help others, while reexamining how this shameful blog post might discourage those struggling with substance abuse from seeking the help they desperately need.

  31. Jackie says – reply to this

    31

Seriously?? Do not blog about issues like this! If you really cared, then youd let the poor man be.

  32. lilred6986 says – reply to this

    32

Seems that Michelle is good for making ex-lovers into addicts. and one offed himself. I'd stay away from her.

  33. Justaguy says – reply to this

    33

I am not sure if you are familiar with 12 step programs or not, but you are not supposed to disclose the identity of someone that attends these meetings, especially at the level of press, radio, and film. I won't sit and call you names because everyone makes mistakes, but if you truly care and respect the recovery of people who are a part of 12 step programs celebrity, and non-celebrity you will take this post down, and in the future keep these posts off your site. It's the right thing to do Perez, so do it.

  34. jfir88 says – reply to this

    34

This is disgraceful… It's called Alcoholics ANONYMOUS for a reason. Who gives you the right to post this information? People in AA should be able to feel safe and trust the system, which you have now taken away

  35. Laura says – reply to this

    35

so brutal to post about this. for a self-professed changed man with a new baby to set an example for, not at all a respectful move. bad form.

  36. baileyz says – reply to this

    36

Wow you are truly a piece of shit…I think I will start skipping this site. You call yourself a "changed" man? In my opinion you have been getting worse.. I feel sorry for your son.

  37. your horrible says – reply to this

your such a horrible person for blogging about this. ITS CALLED ALCOHOLICS ANONOMYS FOR A FUCKING REASON.

find better fucking things to talk about asshole

  38. 38
