One suspect is dead. One is still at large.
With his brother and accomplice no longer with him, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is on his own and believed to be prepared to die during battle with law enforcement, though officials desperately want him alive.
His father has already warned that "hell will break loose" if he dies, setting an even more chilling tone to the situation.
Friday morning, officials gave the public a press conference to keep us up to date on the situation:
Governor Deval Patrick thanked the public for staying indoors, saying it is enormously important for the law enforcement and requesting cooperation from residents while it stays in effect. He urged everyone to keep their doors locked.
Mayor Tomas Menino did his best to keep the strength up, telling residential viewers all across the area that for today, they are one city. And he promised they would come out of this a stronger city.
Colonel Timothy Alben confirmed they have been going door to door and are 60-70% through the area they want to cover. There has been no apprehension as of yet. He also said a bomb squad would be executing a controlled detonation of some explosives Friday afternoon in Cambridge, Mass.
So it's VERY important that everyone STAY INSIDE.
During the press conference, they also said they have new leads and promised they would be back with more information. So until then, stay tuned…
