Reese Witherspoon 'Deeply Embarrassed' About Being Cuffed For Disorderly Conduct!

reese witherspoon arrest sorry(1)

Reese Witherspoon is fessing up!

America's sweetheart is apologizing for her COMPLETELY out of character behavior after her Friday arrest and short stay in the slammer for disorderly conduct with her intoxicated while driving hubby Jim Toth.

The Oscar-winning actress said:

"Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

We definitely respect a person that can admit when they are wrong AND refuses to bow their head in shame DESPITE the backlash.

Classy moves, Reese!

We were worried this might become a habit, but something about this VERY sincere apology makes us believe this family woman won't be seeing the inside of a jail cell for a looonnggg time.

Hey, we're all allowed to have our bad days, right?!

We forgive you, Reese!

If it were LA she would've had to take some celebrity photos with the police officers and would have gotten back on the road with her drunk husband. She should apologize for putting other peoples lives at risk and letting her husband drive over the legal alcohol limit.

LOVE THIS!!!! YOU GO! If my husband and I were out on date night, and he was getting arrested, famous or not, any LOYAL mama would have shouted the same things, celebrity or not. Bless her heart!!! Think of the REAL paranoia she lives with on a daily basis, yet she continues to make movies and rear her children in LA, AS SHE SHOULD. We all agree it is devastating to get a DUI, but SHE WASNT DRIVING. How many times have I relied on my husband to get my drunk ass home? ALL OF US DO. Men metabolize differently than women. She IS completely at NO FAULT here. Most beautiful mugshot ever. LOYAL and FEISTY to the CORE. I love her even more and can't wait for more great movies. This is NOT even comparable to Lindsay Lohan—

ahhhh it happens to the best of us especially while intoxicated.

  4. 4

She has a lot more to be embarrassed about than a disorderly conduct charge. How about getting into a vehicle with a drunk driver behind the wheel? How about endangering the lives of everyone on the road by allowing her drunk husband to drive? How about mouthing off to the police who are doing their job? How about showing your true colors by playing the "do you know who I am" card? How about the horrible example she just set for her kids? I never liked this pretentious little snot & this latest incident put her permanently on my shit list. A pathetic little "oops! sorry!" statement from her PR team doesn't cut it.

  5. 5

Dont drink and drive. I'm sure moms against drunk drivers wont be happy with you.

Having one too many lets her off what she apparently said, but her statement does read a bit PR damage control. Oh well, only seen one or two of her films, no biggy.

  7. 7

I wonder what she found scary about the situation? Was it that they were pulled over by cops? Was it the potential embarrassment? Or was it that they could have hurt themselves and innocent people by their actions? I doubt it was fear of hurting people - because if that were true, they wouldn't have driven drunk in the first place.

  8. 8

You stupid idiot B!T@H!!! Your husband could have killed an innocent family or innocent people! How dare you cuss and fuss at the cops that are out there trying to save lives. I hope you burn in hell. You're hideous anyway and already a has been. Suck it Reese.

Re: butuhellowont – You're an idiot.

  10. 10

Hi Reese, welcome to the real world outside of "Hollywood" whereby there are laws and rules that even apply to you. If a policeman tells you to stay in the car, you do so. You are right however in one respect. We REALLY know who you really are now, a self-entitled diva.

Re: butuhellowont – Speaking on behalf of all the victims of drunk driving you are a moron. It is everyone's responsibility when they choose to go out and have a good time that that good time doesn't potentially effect the lives of others. When I was 16 the car I was driving was hit by a drunk driver. I broke my leg, my nose, and bruised my lungs. There were four of us in the car. I was the only one able to get out. I went and sat in the back seat where I watched my mother DIE. A GOOD WIFE and a GOOD MOTHER protects her husband and other innocent people on the road (including other mothers and children) by taking a damn TAXI. You know she could afford one. Its not feisty its stupidity. When someone you love gets killed maybe you will change your tune. Right now you just sound ignorant.

Welcome to the real world you dumbass libturds. Playing the "do you know who I am" card only resulted in the squadroom having a rip roaring laugh at your libturds expense. Just happy nobody was killed or injured due to your mans behavior.

  13. 13

Re: butuhellowont – Just because you and your hubby like to get drunk and then drive home doesn't mean we all do. I have NEVER driven drunk nor been a passenger in a car with a drunk driver. I'm no oscar-winner but I can still afford a cab home. what's your excuse?

  14. 14

She showed her true self that night; after all, in vinos veritas. When intoxicated, one reveals one's more true self than when sober and controlled. Her fake apology isn't holding any water. And wtf is wrong with the bitch that she'd get in a car drunk with a drunk driver? No, Reese Witherspoon, you should be punched in the face for being a stupid, phony, entitlement-mentality bitch. Your true colors are now nailed to the mast.

Re: butuhellowont – You're an asshole, and deserve to get his by a drunk driver. Maybe you'd feel honored if it was selfish, thoughtless, Reese Witherspoon and her moron husband?

Re: Chipper – YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! I'm sorry for your loss

Reese should apologize for having worn such a short dress, with legs that look like that,

Everyone makes mistakes. However, Reece using the "Do you know who I am" crap is disappointing.

Ever been pulled over? Ever worried it was a "fake" cop? Ever worried you might get raped by the two guys pulling you over? Ever worry they're cuffing your husband and what will happen to you? "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" was NOT pretentious. She wasn't trying to "get out of it" She was terrified and ensuring that she would not be hurt. I know this is "shameful" to some, but she's smart on her feet, even drunk. I'd prob even pretend to be a celebrity if pulled over just to make sure I wasn't hurt. Perez-the intelligence of your readers is that of inexperience. My husband and I were pulled over in Alabama at 3am with our 2 babies in the back seat on the way to vacation. Even though my husband was going 10 over the limit, I was TERRIFIED for my entire family. Get some experience, haters.

Re: butuhellowont – You're seriously embarrassing yourself now with your complete lack of ability to use assessment skills, sound judgement, as well as your narrow-minded paranoia. You're clearly wrong and you know it - you're just behaving immaturely now because you don't like that you were called out for your ridiculous & dangerous comment and you're childishly stamping your feet and refusing to admit that you're in the wrong. You mentioned that you had children? How shameful for them to have you as a parent. Grow up and hopefully you'll learn about personal responsibility and ethics so that you can pass these traits on to your kids, instead of the immaturity and misplaced stubborness that you're demonstrating now.

  21. 21

She fucked up, but she looks damn good in this photo. I haven't seen her look this good in awhile, not that she was ever ugly to begin with.

  22. 22

Re: butuhellowont – I'm sure the other drivers on the road are far more terrified of the idea of raping you than you are of them.

Re: PolarBear24 – I agree totally with what you said. She just showed her true color with her comment 'do you know who I am' that alone put me off her for good. Cannot stand people full of themselves just because now they are celebrities!! She probably comes from a everyday people background and forgets about it. Not smart, what you said is what you think in the first place, otherwise it would not be there in you mind. Too bad. Another one bite the dust for me!!!!!!!! MB

to the people defending her, did it occur to you she did not apologize for putting the citizens of GA in danger while her husband was driving drunk? Instead of worrying or "being afraid" of her reputation she should have been afraid of what she could have done to her family or worse other families that could have been victims of her poor choices. Just because she is "America's Sweetheart" doesn't mean she is above the law and can't hurt someone. And shame on your Perez for not calling her out, you would have anyone else!

  29. 29

She got caught now she's doing damage control. She showed her true colors with her "don't you know who I am" comment. She had to make a statement, I'm sure her publicist worked on it for her.
