Fall Out Boy may have been kidding on the square when they named their fifth album Save Rock And Roll, but one thing isn't a joke- the sales!
The fall out from the viral campaign and risky release of the entire album on YouTube a week early turned out to be more of a windfall.
The record has premiered at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart!
FOB had an amazing week, selling 154,000 copies- not quite as many as the best weeks of Infinity On High or From Under The Cork Tree, but considering the changes to the music industry since then, the numbers are quite impressive!
Save Rock And Roll indeed!
Ch-ch-check out the video to find out exactly how the boys came to name their record- and what Sir Elton John had to do with it …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
While no one from R-Patz or FKA's camp have confirmed this news, the autotune master revealed in a recent interview with Vulture that getting the songstress on his new album will be a bit harder than expected!
