Fans of trendy HBO show Girls were left with a major 'WTF!?' about the romantic future of Marnie when Christopher Abbott — the dude who plays Marnie's love interest, Charlie — QUIT the show during the filming of season 3…
Especially because (SPOILER ALERT) after a season and a half of "will they? won't they?", the pair romantically reunited during the season 2 finale.
Well, Marnie AKA actress Allison Williams recently dished on her character's relationship future and what Chris' departure means for Marnie's storyline in season 3!
"[Christopher's leaving had] a huge effect on our show and [on the character of] Marnie specifically. It’s almost as if we skipped her third season and have gone on to single Marnie."
Ahhh ok, so season three WOULD have been about the couple's rekindled romance (and its eventual demise) but now we're skipping all that jazz and seeing Marnie single (again).
The actress elaborates:
"[Their split] means that Marnie is now piecing herself back together."
And we're sure the show's peeps will find MANY willing candidates to play Marnie's rebound romeos!
Just as long as she doesn't get back with that ridiculous "artist" (played by HIGHlarious Lonely Islander Jorma Taccone), LOLz!
CH-ch-check out (some of) the GUYS of Girls (below)!
