David Bowie’s The Next Day music video has turned a few heads since its official release yesterday, and we can see why!

The video, starring Marion Cotillard and Gary Oldman, was temporarily removed from YouTube after it was marked as offensive.

In fact, it seems the scene in which Marion begins bleeding from stigmata marks after dancing suggestively with David was what brought on cause for concern.

YouTube’s Abbi Tatton has revealed, however, that the video’s removal was a mistake:

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call. When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

The Next Day is now officially back on the site for public viewing.

Brace yourselves!

Meanwhile, kids can learn how to use bath salts and other drugs?
You Tube is also a great source for copying extremely dangerous stunts performed by morons too.

I kinda like artists who push the buttons of the religious. We are so programmed to accept religion without question - maybe that is why so many religions have gotten away with horrific atrocities - because they are above criticism.

It not THAT shocking at all. It is however quite awesome!

But dog fighting videos that I have flagged multiple times aren't taken off. Ridiculous.

How disappointing that a mature, talented and established artist like David would choose to release such a dated, trite and silly video that is offensive to part of his fan base. I never associated him or his music with "schlock" but I guess this is what he's all about now. Sad. Why would he want to come across as an old Marilyn Manson type?

Re: rosebud99 – I totally agree. The muslim "religion" fosters nothing but hate of women and gays (Sharia Law) and they support terrorism or at least don't do or say anything to stop it. Horrific atrocities indeed. Glad there are more people like you who are smart enough to see through it and how it hurts Americans and our country.

Re: Ali – its a music video…….he's an artist (think of it as a movie) hes not trying to be offensive you fools. David Bowie can make whatever sort of music video he wants, he a legend in his own right, if he wants to make a dramatic religious video then let it be and stop winging over it.
I hate it how everything in our world seems to be "racist" or "innappropriate"- if he made that video 30 years ago i bet you there wouldnt be a problem with it.
David Bowie you are a legend.

Re: Ali – Maybe because he wants to say what he wants to say. Trite is in the eye of the beholder.

Eyeballs, blood and skinny bald girls fail to get much of a point across. Here's an equally subversive song that's a lot easier for us retards to understand. No S&M imagery needed.

Can't wait for the Muslim version with Mohammad. That would be edgy. Bowie probably hasn't got the balls.
