NBC’s Smash wasn’t lucky enough to get picked up for a third season, but despite its cancellation, we’re sure the ending is going to be AH-mazing!
The show’s star, Megan Hilty, revealed that one particularly big musical number, The Big Finish, will be especially gratifying:
"It's me and Katharine McPhee and a bunch of dancers. Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman wrote it — it's amazing.”
As for saying goodbye to the show, she said:
"Of course I'm sad that I won't get to work with all these amazing people, but I learned a long time ago that there are a lot of things out of my control. This is just one of them… All I can really do is be grateful for the time I had and all these amazing people and look to the next thing."
Megan also spoke up about her character’s recent pregnancy reveal:
"I was very happy with that story because it's a very delicate subject… I was really happy with how they ended the whole series."
Smash will wrap up with its two hour series finale on May 26th! We’re sad to see it go, but can’t wait to see how the story ends! Till then!
