Best rap song??

Okay!

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz just won Top Rap Song at the Billboard Music Awards for Thrift Shop because, well, it was one of THE biggest songs of the year!

Beating out Flo Rida, Kanye, and um, PSY, the two lovely lads took the biggest coveted award in the rap world, surprising the audience, we're sure. But, what was most shocking about the award was a coffee mug-holding Kid Rock's introduction where he made the comment:

"Let's give it up for people lip syncing to pre-recorded music."

Ouch! Was that a dig at Selena Gomez?? Is this a new celebrity feud brewing??

Kid Rock is right!! This is an award show that is recognizing these artist for their talent. Then they come out and fake it. Justin and Selena didn't sing…I found it funny Justin kept making sure the mike was in front of his mouth. Didn't fool me. If you have talent, you can sing without the bell and whistles of the studio plain and simple.

Good for Kid Rock. He knows what's up.

Kid rock has been saying this for a looong time! He directed this comment to all fake "artists"

despite kid rock being right, what the hell was he doing there? i didn't know he was relevant to music now.

I would think he said it with humor. I'm sure Kid Rock has better things to do , then seriously slam a kid like Selena. He older son himself, runs a business, to put it simply he has a life & I can't see him being so insecure he needs to take on a kid Selena's age , much less a female. Humor.

It was a dig at Chris Brown!! He only sang a few lyrics from his performance & all u heard was the prerecorded voice.

Kid Rock is starting crap cause he isn't relevant anymore. Why do people not understand that all large scale performances (televised ones, award shows, and tours) are done with a background track? It's not because the artist can't sing or doesn't want to sing, it serves a purpose. The artist is singing and dancing and using a lot of energy on stage. They're forced to take extra breaths that they wouldn't have taken when recording in a studio, so they may miss a few words. That's one reason the track is there. The main reason is to keep the performance on track. With the energy high, the artist might speed up the singing, and if that happens, the dancers will be off. It keeps everyone in sync. It's an industry standard for these bigger shows. No one seems to understand that.
