Justin has done more than most kids his age. If I was his mothers,I would be proud.

This kid is 10 times more successful in life than the losers who rudely booed him. they are mad their favorites did not win that award because he has far more fans than they do. By the way, it only takes about about 50 out of 5,000 to be heard booing.

Invoking the Lord just cheapens everything. Why wear your religion on your sleeve? And his entire speech was arrogant and self serving.

    Hey, you got damn morons!!
    Please define suxcess….???!!!
If i had that level of fame i would have used it to help as many people as i could.
Thats how you measure suxcess, not how famous you are!!

Hey, he's pretty tough looking with those glasses on. I wouldn't mess with him. Noooo Way. He's scary.

    6

Maybe he'll learn that when you accept awards you should be more humble in your speech instead of saying your doing pretty good for yourself.

  7. Shelbie says – reply to this

    7

Justin's speech was everything it needed to be & more. It wasn't self serving in any way.. He just pointed out that he is 19, and he's in a place that other people his age are not. Being selfish and being aware of your success are 2 totally different things! SO SHUT UP AND LEAVE HIM ALONE. He deserved the awards he got & the people who booed him remain stupid now, just as they were yesterday.

  8. 8

He stood up there and looked around not saying a thing until the crowd was like, speak man!! I get embarrassed for him because he thinks he's king or something. He provoked the boos…get up and give a speech of appreciation, then walk off with the trophy. Don't keep everyone waiting on your highness. He has talent or he wouldn't have even been nominated.

    9

Bieber deserved to get booed. His acceptance speech showed how pretentious and entitled he is. He should have been humble about the fact that hes a 19 year old kid getting a "milestone" award. This kid needs his ego knocked down a few pegs.

    12

Whats he going to do as he gets older and cant use his age as an excuse. It would feel terrible to be boo'd but he should have handled it in a more humble adult like manner. To the rest of the world 19 is an adult he needs to catch up. Also a cheap shot to bring religion into his 'speech' just to halt the booing. Very hypocritical 'Christian'.

    13

The audiance is rude and it is billboard mistake to bring people like that.
This young man is hard working, talented and lots of people enjoy his music and concert.
It shows how shallow some people are to boo him and to cricitize him all the time. Those who are full of inferiority complex do such nasty things.

I was also very dissapointed with the behavoir of Selena and Taylor who did not applaud him and gave him standing ovation. They acted very silly and spoiled and not educated enough. I lost my liking to those two girls. Really, they ruined their own image.

Re: Suxcess is what?? – Apparently you only read negative comments about him and not be impartial. This kid has done more for charities, etc, than any other celeb out there at the moment. You are just hell bent on being a hater. Says something about you.

    15

Justin, you handled yourself really well last night, especially on the spur of the moment. Your answer was perfect. i am 51 years old, i decided to watch you and your response was incredible perfect for the moment. you could not have chosen better words. the only thing you need to do now is get back with Selena, she is awesome

Re: JayMc – so I guess you are saying he shouldn't have addressed the overhelming boo's. So loud he couldn't even be heard? Right. Reality check yourself moron lol It's pretty hard for him to not defend himself when classless people are booing, he NEEDS to address it.

Justin Bieber just keeps digging, and digging, and digging. I almost feel bad for him — almost. The first thing that caught my attention was the long, dramatic pause before he finally grew a pair (we knew it would happen eventually) and spoke. It's almost like he wanted to savior every clap of hands like they would surely be his last. Or maybe he was too shocked for words over the boo'ing that roared from an audience of his industry peers. Either way, the pause was my favorite part of his speech *cough* public suilking. And then, THEN, instead of simply thanking his fans for being so devoted despite his recent behavior, he got defensive. All the while, Scooter Braun, bigger physically and financially than ever, is nodding from the audience in approval. WHERE'S A PUBLICIST WHEN YOU NEED ONE? Overall, the entire speech *cough* public sulking was pretty hard to watch. Justin Bieber is quickly spiraling downward into Washed Up Child Star Land, with a slim chance for come-back.

  19. 19

stupid fuck. u love the lord? u think the lord exists? and u think if he did exist he would use his unlimited power and will to help u win awards? what an utter INSULT to the billions of people suffering in life WATING for their 'lord' to give them food or water…but he can't cuz he's too busy giving justin bieber 'talent' and awards

    aboslute DISCGRACE

and why does he have to try and act so black and gangsta? he certainly was not born that way. what hood is justin from? compton?

The tabloids, paps, and media are ripping him a new one. He must've pissed off the Illuminati in a big way. ;-)

    21

Most 19 year olds i know are worse then this kid… the media needs to back off… its not that serious and he's not that horrid of a kid. Not being a fan of his music and the pop scene is one thing…. but to tear someone down for no reason is another. Most 19 year olds are arrogant pricks. I don't think this guy is evil or has mean intentions. I don't think the booing was necessary at all.

  22. Seriously? says – reply to this

    22

Re: mezmreyes – I guess you missed the article about how Taylor Swift is the most charitable celebrity, good try though.

  23. 23

He needed to be humbled, if only for a minute. If he wants to be a thug, maybe he should give away his millions and go be a thug. If he wants to be a true artist, then he should act like one.

  24. TheReal19 says – reply to this

    24

I'm 19, and to be honest Justin does have good traits about him, but he often comes off very arrogant and self absorbed. I read many comments that he has done more than others his age, like what? Earn a million dollars? Sorry that I work three jobs, go to school full time, and volunteer that I don't have time to put out a song. I think many in today's society count "done more" as having a ton of money and accomplishing personal things and forget about every other 19 year old kid out there putting themselves through college.

    26

I believe Bieber was booed because instead of just being thankful for winning the first ever Milestone award, he decided to demand respect from the audience. He pulled a little Kanye West. He should have said thank you and go on about his life. As for the idiots who are talking about money who cares, you are the ones who make him act the way he is. You make it seem like having millions of dollars means that you can say and do anything you want. His speech was egotistical. I mean I think he was booed not because he won because he was cheered when he won, it was win he opened up his mouth and started talking is when he got booed. I don't know if this means the end of Bieber Fever but I do know that a lot more people are not liking his attitude. He says he isn't a gimmick? Look at him, look how he has no common decency to take those glasses off, pull up his pants, I mean his gimmick is to act like a thug, a guy from the hood which he isn't. I dislike him now from his actions, his music just isn't my cup of tea, I don't hate it but I'm just not into Teeny Bopper music anymore. I have no hate for Justin, I just hope he either shapes up or BYE BYE career and to becoming a Vanilla Ice or Macauley Culkin.

    27

I get it, yes he has done some charity work but was is charity? Doing charity work is just giving and not announcing it to everyone. I give all the time but I don't go running to social media to tell it. Many celebs do charity and never tell because it isn't people's business. When you give and tell it means you are just looking to be in the limelight, wanting your name all around.

    31

I am definitely a hater, but he has made his money already. He doesn't need anyone's approval, so I don't get why he keeps trying to justify himself when he speaks recently. For lack of a better description, he has won if you look at what he has gained. On the other hand maybe he has been opening his mouth recently in these ways because he doesn't have to worry about any repercussions. Who knows?

Re: suzette – he might have given charity that u and I might not be aware of! Without limelight! But we dunt know dat….
Im nt his fan or anything. But no one deserves to get booed no matter hw much they suck!!

  33. Dana says – reply to this

    33

I believe the boos were more aimed towards the fact that they wanted Taylor Swift to win. It was very Rude to Boo him. I felt really bad for him and what do you do? I guess he could have ignored them but it was so loud and he had to wait to speak and then it got worse. If the people that booed him had watched his movie they may appreaciate him and how hard he works and how he gets involved in helping children and different charity events. Justin does work his booty off!

Justin, if you look back with your mind and not your emotions, you will see that your life went wrong when you took up with Selena Gomez - you need to get over her and move on - put the Lord first and you will see an outcome you never believed possible. Not to say that Selena isn't a good person - but not for you.

  38. Sophia says – reply to this

    38

I am by no means "hating" on Justin Beiber. But really, you are completely fooling yourself if you do not see that he has turned completely pretentious and egotistical.
He may have been a nice kid at one point, a few years ago in his "baby" days. But that seemingly sweet kid does not exist anymore. How is it not clear to see in his speeches and the way that he carries himself? He acts like a total douche bag. Clearly fame has gone to his head. But well as long as there are people who are too blind to see this and continue to worship him like a god regardless of the fact that he's a total jerk, there will be people like him who go about making a fortune believing that he is entitled.

  39. 39

He thinks pretending to be somewhat badass will get him respect. Giving the few booing any attention at all was just silly on his part.

If he wants to be taken seriously, he should ACT seriously. He's a bratty, generic pop star who does nohting innovative or new. He should take off his Michael Jackson sunglasses and rethink how much of an "artist" he is.

Re: Scary – learn to spell success.

  45. 45

The kid is good looking, and he's talented. What he's not is a R&B Bad Boy no matter how badly he wants to be. He is a Bubble-Gum Artist: David Cassidy, Leif Garrett, New Kids on the Block. What he's learning now is that he's at the end of the road and people are tired of him. When you're a Bubble-Gum Artist, your success is sudden, huge and then it's a long descension into "Where Are They Now"?

Bubble Gum fans grow up and are embarrassed about how much they used to love certain artist. JB is about to learn that the hard way.

And while I expect a small, minuscule amount of what's left of the Beliebers to come at this post like a rebel force, please don't show your lack of intelligence and compare JB to legends like Elvis, Michael Jackson, Prince, The Beatles or anyone else who remained significant longer than a decade. You'd just be embarrassing yourselves even further.

    Re: Mandy
Wooh! Why blame Selena for Justin's own mistakes? Are you out of your mind? Justin has admitted several times that Selena has always brought out the best in him. Selena is the only person who knows and understands him the best and the most! When Selena broke up with him, she didn't have much choices, she was overwhelmed with all the trashing from the haters, his fans and the media that came with dating him! Selena is now stronger than ever, thus she's back helping him get back on his feet! There's hardly any bad news about him ever since he hooked up with Selena again! Even Justin's mother thinks that Selena is great and has the greatest best influence for Justin. Who else is in the right position to tell him that but his own mother. Selena is basically his rock and she could calm him down on whatever reasons behind it when he is stressed out! Selena is actually the best thing that has ever happened to him, thus Justin desperately wants her back! I do wish everything is well between the two of them!

  47. Skates says – reply to this

    47

    Re: Mandy
Justin should have never let the media and his fans control his life. That is where all of these miseries are coming from! Justin may have at times be overly confident, but in most cases he has his reasons to be proud of his own accomplishments, since he really works hard and tries his very best to achieve most of them. He personally is really great in quite a few field in sports. Selena is also the best person to somehow make him act more humble as you could see through the past few years when they were still together! The weeds he is consuming while he is single and enjoying his worldly lifestyles has deteriorated his brain cells, thus making him dumb during his whole series of interviews. Why blame Selena when Justin was the one who made the choices to jump in and experiment with some dangerous life choices! I hope he has learned his lessons and is ditching that worldly lifestyles because if he doesn't he will forever lose Selena and will definitely end up the same way as the celebrities who died struggling with weeds, drugs, sex and alcohol. Please don't give any advice to anybody, if you don't know the odds and ends.

Beiber is an amazing talented young adult!! Has he screwed up? Yes! Does he wear his pants to low? Yes! Is he always in the news about something? Yes!! But seriously does that make him a bad person? No!!! He is 19 years old!! And the only difference between him and another 19 year old is the fact that everything in his life is public.. Yeah he chose this life, he could of told his mom he didn't want it… But he makes great music, and he is a great example of working hard, keeping your faith, and believe in your dreams. So if you don't like him fine dont like him… There are many artist I don't like, but that doesn't give me/ anyone the right to boo them for following their dreams, and doing what they love!!

What you see, what we all see, is Justin’s PERSONNA! All artists create a persona and that’s how they present themselves. Madonna, David Bowie, Elvis, Elton John, and Lady Gaga don’t dress that way at home. If you want to know the real Justin Bieber, challenge him to a Rubik’s cube contest. He can solve the cube in less than 3 minutes. I gave up after a few days and never did solve it. On the ice or on a basketball court or with a soccer ball, be careful because he might make you look foolish. He is James Dean handsome and has better moves than Elvis. He could lose sight of himself and self-destruct, as many have done before him, but I don’t think he’s a time-bomb ready to go off. As always, time will tell. But at this moment — KUDOS to him!

  67. 67

Re: Shelbie – I agree! The few people who booed him were outnumbered by the music industry that were shown live on national television GIVING JUSTIN BIEBER A STANDING OVATION! You could tell he was taken aback by the Standing Ovation by the music industry crowd that were shown, then taken aback by the booing from the jealous few. How do you plan on a acceptance speech when you are looking at a audience that is giving you a standing ovation then moments later hearing boos when you are telling the world enough is enough with the BS concentrate on my music! He had every right to say he is only 19 and reminding people of the success he has achieved at such as early age. Where is the coverage on the STANDING OVATION he got from music industry big shots that were shown on national television. A few haters got the most coverage. Madonna & Prince & Justin Bieber; all three of them got standing ovations from the crowd. That is some big company to share standing ovations with on the same stage in front of a live audience Justin. Congratulations Justin! You earned this first ever historic Billboard Milestone Award!

  68. 68

Re: michellt – He got a STANDING OVATION! Probably his first ever at a music awards show, no wonder he was shook up at first and couldn't speak! Then he got booed by a few but that standing ovation from the crowd and most of them were from the music industry should be the real story here not the actions of idiots that are jealous of this historic first ever awarded Milestone Award and his success. This is a true Cinderella story of a kid that came from poverty and a troubled background that included homelessness, food banks and social assistance while as a child living with his mother until she couldn't give him the care he needed and gave him to his grandparents to raise. I'm a Canadian and I think he deserves recognition and RESPECT for clawing his way out of poverty as a 15 yr old and now that he is now famous and wealthy and powerful at the age of only 19, I think people are resentful of his YOUTH and think that no one should have that much money or power at that young of an age. Even though he worked hard to EARN everything he has.

  69. 69

Re: Jess – HE GOT A STANDING OVATION FIRST! And then he stood there silently probably in shock! It's no wonder he stood there and didn't say a word while the music industry got on their feet and gave him a standing ovation, then he got booed by some after telling people to concentrate on his music not on the BS. It's about time he publicly stands up for him self instead of allowing these fanatical haters to walk all over him. This the first I ever seen Justin get a standing ovation EVER from the music industry crowd. The Billboard Music Awards was actually pretty good much better than the tired and boring Grammy awards or the pretentious MTV music awards

  70. 70

Re: cookoo4no1 – I guess you can take it up with the LORD your self one day for taking Justin Bieber out of a life of poverty as a child including among other things living on social assistance, food banks and homelessness while living with his mother who had him as a troubled teen before she put him in the care of his grandparents. I'm sure you can give your many reasons on why did you do it LORD? He has never hid the fact of his childhood poverty or his religion. So what if he may or not be struggling with his religion. Many I would say in the Millions or Billions around the world struggle with their faith daily doesn't mean they dont have faith . But of course you haters can't stand any one who mentions thanking God for what they have.

  71. 71

Hmm… Makes you wonder? Also, why are you going to stand there and let people keep cheering as if he's the best celebrity there (oh you see this Selena I got more fans then anyone). PATHETIC. Don't mistake a popularity contest as talent. His looks are what sells him, his talent is very limited. His fans like the way he looks and that is why he wins awards. Not because he has talent.. Because he looks pretty. Those billboard music awards performances were terrible. His vocals were all over the place and if that's what people call music nowadays then I fear for the future of music. His girlfriend also sucked and is a highly overrated singer who should stick to acting. Chris brown was the worst though.

me too. It is so hard to be picked apart all day everyday by people that you don't even know-he has courage and more strength than people give him credit for. People have proven that they are pretty much bullies these days. I pray for the guy.

Well done Justin on your award, you have come a long way in such a short time and unfortunately there will always be people trying to bring you down. You are an inspiration to me and have given me belief that anything is possible, even at 41years of age! Your concert here in South Africa was amazing and the message that you left with us has filled me with such drive and passion to follow my dreams. Your presence on stage was so awesome and you took control of the fighting over your jacket like a pro, I was so impressed how you handled it. Just remember that it is about the art, the music and making people realize their potential, then you can't go wrong. I will always be a Belieber and wish you success, peace and happiness now and forever. Good job Justin x

Re: michellt – He was not waiting to be worshipped. He was
about to speak, then heard the boo'd' and stopped while he gathered himself. Probably got emotional, especially since he's oh 19 !!! Imagine being boo' by thousands on National TV while a kid. What would YOU do?

Yeah lets see. He spits on people, disrespects Holocaust victims, and abuses animals. That is more than most kids his age.
