As an Oklahoma native, Blake Shelton was hit hard by the devastation left in the wake of a deadly tornado that claim the lives of so many and tore through the lives of countless more.
The country crooner and his wife Miranda Lambert performed a touching tribute to remember victims of Monday's disastrous tornado — which smashed through town only 100 miles away from their home.
The married duo sang a touching rendition of Over You— originally written for his late brother— to begin the results show on Tuesday's The Voice in an effort to inspire viewers to donate to the Red Cross and relief efforts for victim's families and those who survived the powerful natural disaster.
In the wake of the storm, Blake will put on a concert with the help of NBC to aid victims.
The singing competition judge explained:
"Hopefully, it will be something big and will raise a lot of money, and obviously it will be televised. It will happen really quickly and, hopefully, I can call in some really big favors."
We hope so too!
Those involved affected by the tornado need ALL the help they can get and we're sure they're thankful to have such a superstar lending himself to the cause.
Ch-ch-check out the heartfelt performance (above)!!!
