Bridge COLLAPSE In Washington State Sends Multiple Cars Plunging Into River! Watch HERE!

Holy SHIZ! This looks absolutely insane!

And so, so scary!

Three people needed to be rescued last night in Washington State after a bridge connecting Interstate 5 across the Skagit River, two hours north of Seattle, Washington, COLLAPSED…and sent two vehicles into the water below!

And while it's not known just how injured these poor folks are, we're relieved to hear that no one was killed, and they were all safely evacuated from the scene and are being treated at local hospitals!

Washington Governor Jay Inslee said in a statement:

“I’m thankful there were no fatalities. Witnesses say a truck hit the bridge and caused it to collapse. An investigation has been launched to confirm that. We will be involved in a vigorous and diligent effort to get traffic flowing again and to make sure we have the resources to do so as quickly as possible. This is an opportunity for us to pull together to show strength of character and patience and good citizenship as we deal with this disruption."

Well, we'd call it MORE than a little disruption!

Just look at video footage of everything, aired this morning on Good Morning America (above)!

Anyone else having Final Destination flashbacks? We've got chills!

But again, we're just relieved to know that everyone affected by this nightmarish accident is safe, and sincerely hope that the proper measures are taken to ensure that something like this NEVER happens again in the future!

even tho this is late. but I heard they were blaming a truck driver from my area. Alberta, Canada that it collapsed. that's all I read. and WHICH IT ISNT it is the poor structured bridge. lol

Terrible, but remember al the "shovel ready" jobs Obama said he created for infrastrucure improvements. This is the kind of thing we need upgraded, not 50% of the country on welfare.

Multiple vehicles. Two ? You"re kidding, right? Two cars aren't "multiple vehicules".

Re: Michmasterflex – Actually, it is the semi truck driver's fault. Yes, the bridge is old. However it is structurally sound and over 70,000 cars go over it daily. The oversized load was too large to meet the bridge's clearance and caused it to hit the top of the bridge, taking it out as he kept driving through. The truck driver continued driving and didn't stop until the cops eventually located him and pulled him over. OHH CANADA…you suck.

This happened on Thursday at around 7pm. I live near that area and pass through daily, and to think that I almost passed through around the time the bridge collapsed is horrifying. Thank goodness nothing severe happened to the people that were in the water. The aftermath to this is horrifying because now the city is flooded with traffic. The city is so small and this story just went viral. We're not used to this much publicity. Especially since it's not a happy story. People could have lost their lives. Children could have been trapped under water. That's what was going through my mind when we didn't know how many people and cars were in the water. Overall the good thing is that no one was severely hurt but PLEASE fix it soon!
