As if his cameo in Arrested Development wasn't ridiculous enough!
Now, we have to go to sleep at night knowing that Inside The Actor's Studio's James Lipton was a pimp! In Paris!
Believe it or not, the hoighty-toighty host may have had a list of odd jobs over the years, but this one really takes the cake.
The 86-year-old actor, producer, composer, writer, teacher, and everything else recently admitted that he needed to find a way to make ends meet when he was a young lad so he turned to running a very successful Parisian bordello.
"It was only a few years after the war. Paris was different then, still poor. Men couldn't get jobs and, in the male chauvinist Paris of that time, the women couldn't get any work at all. It was perfectly respectable for them to go into le milieu."
He insists that the "beautiful and young and extraordinary" women who worked for him were "inspected medically" every week. In fact, one of them became his good friend and helped him with the business.
"When I ran out of money, I said, 'I have to go home.' She said, 'No, you don't. I'll arrange it for you.' So she arranged for me to do it. I had to be okayed by the underworld; otherwise they would've found me floating in the Seine.
That's how I lived. I was going through my rites of passage, no question about it. It was a great year of my life."
Holy shiz, can you imagine what went on inside that studio?? Oh the stories he could tell! We're sure they're about 90% more interesting than what most of the actors have to say on his show!
