Lindsay Lohan & Amanda Bynes Get Sound Advice From Matilda Mara Wilson! Read It HERE!

mara wilson explains child star difficulties lindsay lohan amanda bynes

It's all just so sad!!!

Like heavyweight boxers trading vicious blows, Lindsay Lohan & Amanda Bynes have gone toe-to-toe against each other recently in an EPIC bout to determine which former young celeb is capable of having the biggest, scariest, and most public meltdown!!

Sadly, this contest has no winners!

LiLo and 'Manda may be grown-ass women now, but their troubles began back when they were still child actresses!

Mara Wilson, known once as the adorable little chubby-cheeked girl from Matilda, Miracle on 34th Street, and Mrs. Doubtfire, argues it might not even be their fault!

In a compelling piece published today, the former-child star lists the varied pitfalls young starlets encounter when making it big!!

From bad parenting, to zero discipline, to tons of disposable cash, it's not always easy being young, pretty, and famous!

Mara — who never once went to rehab and never once got arrested for throwing a bong out her vehicle window — had advice for Lindz in particular.

She said:

"If I were to talk to Lindsay Lohan, I'd encourage her to get the hell out of acting and into something soothing. Take up botany or something. But she wouldn't be likely to listen to me — and not only because I'm younger and way less hot than her. It's because she's been acting all her life, she has little education, and in her mind, there's nothing else she could do. She's likely to keep doing it even if she's making herself — and maybe also the people she works with — miserable."

Hmm. We aren't sure the Scary Movie 5 star will try her hand green-thumb at botany any time soon, but we get your point!

Do U think the world has judged these fallen starlets too harshly?!

I think the entire root of the problem is lack of education- both intellectual and social education. As hard as public school can be for some people, it is humbling and prepares one much better for the world than being a child star. The child stars that have stayed in school fare much better than the others. (Think Neil Patrick Harris!)

I read her article and I think Mara Wilson is very smart and funny, down to earth and has a very healthy attitude towards the industry. Can't wait to read more stuff she comes up with :)
    Go Mara!
Not to mention how huge of a fan I was as a child

It's really sad Lindsay wasn't able/ encouraged to pursue any kind of college education - according to everything I've ever read about her she was actually a vey good student and did well in maths and science.
Reminds me of Mean Girls, minus Tina Fey's intervention!

I loved Mara Wilson in those good old days, especially Matilda! I've checked up on her now, she is quite smart and funny. She is exactly right about education. Thing is, I believe in Lindsay's talent, maybe she needs to take a few years off and go back to school in cognito in some random state where she can just disappear for a while. And when she figures things out, she can come back to acting.

It's awesome how you didn't even mention Cracked, or provide a link to their article, since they were the original publishers of her article. I do believe that's called plagiarism. If I did that for a high school essay I'd be kicked out so hard it would cause nuclear fusion.

Not to say that content can't be shared around the internet, but maybe give them a little credit, like you did with the images. I'll be reporting this to the Cracked.com administrators.

Not that I know from souls and their age, but I used to think she was a little kid who seemed to have an old soul.
