Miley Cyrus Promoting Cocaine & Ecstasy In We Can't Stop? Producer Weighs In!!

miley cyrus drug references gif

Have the feathers of MileyBird been dipped in drugs!?

Forget weed! In her new single We Can't Stop, little miss Miley Cyrus seemingly references the use of party drugs in lyrics that are believed to say "dancing with Molly" and "trying to get a line in the bathroom."

Molly is slang for ecstasy, and bathroom 'lines' are notorious for coke.

Now while the party song obviously promotes doing whatever the f*ck you want (consequences, pshh..), the track's producer scoffs at the allegation of ecstasy.

First of all, his rep says, it's not Molly she's dancing with.

It's herself! Miley!

That's right, guys. Just like the "she's just being Miley" lyric from See You Again, the smiley starlet has once again sung an easily misunderstood lyric about herself.

LOLz! Sillies!

But here's where it gets interesting. When it comes to "trying to get a line in the bathroom," the producer will NOT say whether or not she's actually talking about the powdery white fairy.

Umm… we're pretty sure she's not hoping for a long line of ready-to-burst women to wait behind. Soo this "line" can only lead us to believe naughty things. Wouldn't U agree?

Oh wait, guys. Wait. She's probably just trying to get a conga line together! That's it!

I don't believe the song is promoting drugs if that is in fact what the lyrics are saying. To be honest, this song has much more depth than it appears. It's almost melancholy in a way, and it looks at the recklessness/rebelliousness of the young. It's kind of a sing around the campfire jam of people reminiscing the wild old days, acknowledging that we've all done crazy shit, but not that's it's what we should be doing. I don't think MIley is as crazy as people think she is. No rehab, no arrests. She's done pretty well for herself so far. It'll be a great song to hear live.

Re: Emma – how the fuck does "all the girls with the big butts shaking it like we're at a strip club" have any depth to it whatsoever??? its a terrible song with a terrible message behind it that you can do whatever the fuck youd like as long as youre hot and ready to put out this is what happens when you give dumb people a platform

I think that's complete bull shit, lmao she is definitely talking about Molly. Love the song though!

Re: Emma – 'Molly' short for 'molecular' is another word for MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstasy. It is illegal in every country in the world (?), but can be purchased illegally from dealers worldwide.

    Re: lolo
At face value, "big butts", the way the instrumental goes, it's not exactly praising it. Well, I can say so for myself because I'm a college student without any interest in drugs or the party scene, but plenty of people do. I shake my head at what crazy kids do these days (and I've seen a lot of it, I go to a Big 10 school). The way the instrumental flows with the vocals/lyrics just seems to observe the nonsense people do when they're young. I'm not tempted to go do a line of cocaine because of it. Maybe the song is just enjoying life without the consequences (no matter how crazy, no matter what people say). I've been a fan of Miley's for a long time, and I am very aware of all the drug references people have been talking about. I'm not stupid.

in the doing lines in the bathroom part afterwards she says getting turnt up.
and everyone knows that means getting high in the highest degree

seems like someones not as innocent as she seems

Sure. Bait and switch denial or not, it sounds exactly like 'Molly' to me, and there's nothing wrong with my hearing, and listened to it several times as was incredulous. It's one thing to party hearty privately as a young person, but it will come into public question if it's put out into the ether, and especially if it's Hannah Montana, a kid idol.

I'm pretty damn sure everyone is done with Miley Cyrus. The only thing that is causing people to buy her music is a curiosity to see how terrible it is. Remember Friday? Yeaaap. Except in Miley's case it is MUCH more interesting. She says she doesn't want the papz following her but yet keeps drawing purposeful attention with drug lyrics, ring slip-offs, and whatever-the-fuck-else she thinks up of. She is VERY much infused in the game that is publicity and should really shut her mouth about papz until she stops begging for attention, at the very least.

I know she wants to be seen as a grown up now, but its very irresponsible of her to forget about the young ladies who brought her to stardom. If they hear Miley talking about doing drugs and see how famous she is, what will show them how dangerous drugs can be? Especially for people who don't have handlers or the court system in their pocket. Shame on you Miley. Grow up all you want, but don't shove how much you party in everyones' faces.

I think she says "Dancing with MILEY", like in Miley Cyrus,
and yeah Miley might smoke, but she don't do drugs! Shes not stupid!

Molly isn't ecstasy. It's pure MDMA, which is in ecstasy, but a different substance. Esctasy is in pill form and cut with either heroin or meth. Also, most people snort molly like cocaine - so if the lyric really is about molly, that's probably the 'line' she is referring to.

Re: Hillary – Pretty sure these are the lyrics:
And everyone in line in the bathroom
Trying to get a line in the bathroom
Care to explain the second line.

  19. matt says – reply to this

it definitely sounds like she is saying molly why would she say dancing with miley that is just stupid. and she is obviously saying trying to get a line in the bathroom. it was awkward to hear her talking about that stuff but she is the same age as me and I know about it, its just weird to hear her voice singing about it.

You Know what its probably the first time in her life that she is able to act like a kid & Teen something she was not able to do for 11 years……. So I'll tell you know I'm 20 and I would be acting like her if i did not have to still have to act grown up. I had to grow up at the age of 10 and take care of my younger siblings. along with mank a very important life decision for my self at 8. SO SHUT IT……. I wish i could act like a child and be spoiled sometimes but I can't So let her GOT IT

who the fuck cares what Miley does. it's her life and she can do what she wants. hence another lyric in the song says "it's my mouth I can say what I want to". I think she's fucking amazing for not giving a fuck. she's having fun.. let her. and the "line" can be of anything. cocaine is not the only thing you can take a line of. such dumbasses commenting here. and honestly before you go and bash her also take in the lyrics "remeber only god can judge ya, forget the haters". lol. so y'all just need to quit it

Omg….Miley is SO EDGY and cool!!! I wish I could be like her! Oh please let me be as cool as Miley!!!

My 5 year old daughter danced at her recital to one of Miley's songs. I thought it was an appropriat/ nice song with a very nice video. Even her parents were in it and a couple of celebs. Her latest song, "we can't stop", is one song/video that will be her defining moment. I won't say what will be the outcome because I don't know but usually these things have a way of sorting themselves out.
It's a not a very good video to move her audience along and whoever is her manager should have stepped in and made sure something like this was never allowed to go viral.
Nuff said. She seems to be a sweet girl and now it seems to have gone sideways for her.

OK, so if Eric Clapton does it, or Johnny Cash, or any number of other greats who have mentioned drugs in a song, it's fine, but if miley says something about molly it's bad bad. What is this 1987? Guess what, songs can be about anything without promoting that thing. No one accused Johnny Cash of promoting murder.

Re: Emma – . She did a video with borgore for heavens sakes! Who's borgore? Dubstep artist. What's associated with dubstep? Molly aka Ecstasy, and not even the legit kind, Molly is so sketchy! Shit, half the time molly is just meth in capsules. You don't think she's doing drugs? Your completely oblivious. I'm sorry dudde.

    It's obviously "Molly"
She said herself, if you are ten, then the lyric is "Miley" - but if you are old enough to know what she is talking about, then you know.
And anyway, I doubt the VMA's would have censored the word "Miley" out of her performance.

Re: Kirby – I wouldn't let any of my children what ths distasteful video. We wonder why are children are underachievers, pregnant at 16, druggies with no motivation, direction or respect. Your seriously a very immature mom to promote this kind of nonsence to you 5 year old. Why don't you read her a book or take her hiking, maybe spend time talking with her about history…anything that promotes active thnking…seriously. this is the kind of nonsence that I constantly have to talk to my boys about…not all women are like miley. There are young women who have self respect.

molly is not slang for ecstasy. molly is pure mdma, which cannot be pressed into pill form. molly is in reality the purest form of mdma. anytime you cut mdma with a substance to press it into a pill, using meth, heroin, whatever, it becomes ecstasy. get your facts straight.
