Brad Pitt is just the PERFECT family man.

The actor flew out to New York for a quick stint on Good Morning America. Interviewing to garner attention for his upcoming film World War Z, the hunky actor revealed that his sons were the ones who had influenced his decision in taking the movie role.

Though, more importantly, he dished on his wife Angelina Jolie’s decision to opt for a double mastectomy given her BRCA1 gene. He said:

"We were really surprised and moved by how many people were dealing with the same issue.”

He then added:

“Her focus now is to make sure that all people have access to the testing and know what they can do about it… If you do the research and do what's best for you, it doesn't have to be a scary thing, it can be an empowering thing.”

Ch-ch-check out his interview…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

I agree with him, but most people cannot afford the surgery even if they knew they had the gene. My other fear is that health insurance companies would take the unethical step of getting people tested and then drastically raising insurance rates, or denying coverage altogether if they find out you have the gene. Sounds paranoid, but those companies are money first, plain and simple.
