Lil' Wayne had a BIG problem on Monday after video of the hip hop artist surfaced showing him not only dropping an American flag on the ground but then REPEATEDLY stepping all over it!

Oh Weezy. No, no, no!

The video sparked an uproar on the internet with many calling Lil Wayne's performance downright unpatriotic. Now, he's saying that's just not true! Lil Wayne tweeted out Tuesday morning:

What do YOU think? Harmless mishap? Or downright disrespectful?

Ch-ch-check out the video again (below).

That man just walked all over his career.

I am calling B.S.!!! First of all even if he didn't see it there why the in hell was the American flag touching the ground in the first place?! That alone is beyond disrespectful!! Second of all you can clearly see him looking down at the flag as he JUMPS on it!! This man needs to learn what respect is! He could have at least owned up to his ignorance by dropping the flag onto the ground and than stomping all over it. Instead he decides to play stupid which to me only makes it a million times worse! Lil Wayne if you have the balls to drop the flag at least have the balls to admit to what you were really doing!

I can see the first step might have been an accident, but then he kept walking all over it. What a crock. But I do think it is weird that people have a problem with an anti-American rap, but they have no problem with him consistently degrading women in his raps.

Oh you Americans worship your flag as a false idol. Get over it and stop worshiping a symbol designed by the Freemasons.

Re: Observation… – once the video comes out ppl will see that the flag will not be viewable only the ppl that were behind the flag and lil Wayne will be. Mfmm I wonder if it were Americas Sweetheart Taylor Swift, would the reaction be the same?

Re: Badnfluenz – AssWipe!! Stop living in the what if world! Like most liberals, switch to someone else or change the topic!! This is what this country stood for, and if that was Dont Tread on Me flag! This is the only country that allows the mocking of its own country and its heritage. The scums from everwhere else dictating how this country should be ran!! Thank your President to help divide this country up!!

  14. 14

Re: Badnfluenz – I am confused on if you understand that it is a DISGRACE to ever let the flag touch the ground PERIOD! If the American flag does ever by accident touch the ground it has to burned. That flag that he so willingly dropped on the ground and than stomped all over for whatever artistic value he was attempting to portray is completely disrespectful to not only this country but also to the thousands of brave men and women who are currently serving this nation as well as those who have lost their lives protecting America. Which includes disrespectful little assholes such as Lil Wayne who have no idea what the significance of the flag even means. And no it is not a race issue. Even if it was Taylor Swift who did something this disgusting people would be just as upset.

Re: Silent Ranks – you said it perfectly!! The American Flag is a symbol of our PROUD, FREE COUNTRY, so we do not want it to touch the ground since it is considered sacred. Being that we walk on the ground, it is disrespectful for our pride, the American Flag, to be put on the ground.

This little wayne moron needs to go to a military bootcamp and they will teach this punk ass creep to respect the United States Flag.

    17

You can see the flag is just used to cover the crowd, I doubt it would be viewable after that in the actual video (assuming itll be used now) So I don't think there was any intentional disrespect, just lack of thinking, and a shame that video was leaked/released.

  18. 18

Re: Lady_Says – If you are right and that part wasn't meant to be shown, it doesn't change the fact that he stomped on the flag.

  19. Lady_Says says – reply to this

    19

Re: rosebud99 – No it doesn't, just means he and others there made a dumb mistake, and not some bold political statement. If it was intentional then Id see the big deal.

The American flag is not a prop. Point. Blank. Period. Too much blood was shed for those stars and stripes for some careless "rapper" to use it as a prop. Ignorant people will do ignorant things obviously.

  21. 21

Re: richsp – First of all, you should be ashamed of yourself for spewing such hatred and bigotry! It truly is disgusting. Second of all, who or what in the HELL gave you the impression that you are qualified to make such judgments about an ENTIRE race of HUMAN BEINGS based off of a handful of people's actions(mistake or not)? People like you are what is wrong with this country. SMH! You really should be embarrassed lol come on it's 2013. Blacks have been here for hundreds of years now (thanks to our ancestors btw) and aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so if you cannot accept that, you should at least be able to be a mature adult and keep your ignorant and cruel remarks to yourself. Besides, I bet you $100 you would NEVER say these things to any respectable persons, black or white, face because you would get SHUT DOWN and laughed out of town so why grow a pair while you're hiding behind a computer screen lol. Pathetic.

  22. 22

While I don't believe he truly meant any disrespect or is anti-american, he should have been WAY more careful with that flag. It was hard for me to even watch it fall to the ground, let alone see him walk on/over it like garbage in the gutter. He just flushed his career down the toilet SMH

  23. hard working amaerican says – reply to this

    23

instead of dropping it on the ground have some respect for the flag and have it roll or lift up some how why would you just drop the flag on the ground , and see your self walking on it and continue to do so . there are people who fight and give their lives for this country so our kids and family can have a decent place to live . some people cant just make millions teaching other peoples kids to not give a damn about anybody else and do nothing but sell drugs .

    Re: Observation… – Very true, I agree.
My late father once raised heck with a manager at a winery here in California, for flying the US flag at the same height as the Mexican flag (grape pickers are mostly Mexican). That is also against flag etiquette.

    26

Re: Badnfluenz – It is obvious that he planned from the beginning to let the flag drop to the ground which in itself is plain disrespectful. The American flag is never supposed to touch the ground let alone be purposely dropped and stomped on. There is no way he can deny planning to drop it with all of those people behind it and he can't deny he saw it either since you can clearly see him looking down on it and continuing to walk and jump on it. Disgusting. And it's so sad that so few Americans know flag etiquette and have so little respect for a flag that stands for so much.

Honestly, I don't like Lil Wayne or rap music in general as a matter of taste. But even I can tell that it was all a part of his music video, and people are just making a huge deal about nothing.

    Let's grow up guys.

It may have been an accident but I suppose his lyrics didn't help his case LOL.
"My country 'his of thee / Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die / God bless Amerika / This ole' godless Amerika."
