Australian TV Reporter Makes Racist Sex Joke, Then Laughs During Tragic World News!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsAustraliastic

This is worse than most Ron Burgundy rants!

Australian news reporter Natasha Exelby came under serious scrutiny recently after laughing her way through the reading of super-sad world news!!!

After a light-hearted and flirty segment, she reported on deadly riots in Brazil, an accident killing children in India, and a toddler falling off of a building — but she laughed her way through the ENTIRE broadcast!

Ch-ch-check out her awkwardly inappropriate gaffes (above)!

Yikes!!! Laughter is a natural human reaction to unbearably stressful situations, but TV anchors are trained to tread delicately!!!

Worse, perhaps, was Natasha calling an Irish guest "one lucky little Leprechaun" while implying she might have sex with him!

She apologized for her poorly timed laughter, but neither bigotry nor sexual solicitation are appropriate for serious news programs!!!

You pig faced hypocrite but it's ok for you to "solicit" sex from young straight males on here all the time ?????????
    Who here agrees ?

  2. rolling hills says – reply to this

It obviously wasn't intentional and she promptly apologized. She obviously couldn't help it, stop denouncing people for human error.

perez you are one of the biggest hypocrites ever you know much crap you've said about others but you judge someone so quickly

I hardly think the comment was bigoted. Although in incredibly bad taste, she meant no harm and the laughter was from the earlier segment, she wasn't laughing at the news she was reading! Also, she wasn't really soliciting sex, you guys need to learn to take a joke. Once again, the tiniest, un-newsworthy incident has been blown way out of proportion! Don't get high and mighty with morals when this website is dedicated to revealing celebrity's personal lives

Are you kidding me. You draw genitals on people and then play the higher force in media? It wasn't racist, nor was it her fault. I don't see you picking on Matt Doran who was the one who set the whole thing up. Oh sorry, he is a guy.
    Perez you are a joke.

Her mind was clearly distracted by the young man that she has the crush on, and by her co-worker who was trying to fix her up, and play match-maker. She was having focus issues because of it–as I am sure that the teasing continued off camera. Imagine her embarrassment, not knowing if he would reject her…or not–and think of all of the emotional pressure, romance wise? You would instantly become unsure of yourself in that kind of situation, and would just stop thinking, like a deer caught in the head-lights of a car. I feel bad for her, as this should have been the best moment of her life, probably in sometime, as it looked like the young man liked her too, but suddenly, because people misread her, it was made an ugly memory…within seconds, when it was meant to be lovely, and loving.

This story is ludicrous. You're an idiot.

I was expecting something awful but it's clearly just human error! I get the same way if I start laughing. There was no need for this article at all. Seriously leprechaun isn't racist either. I'm Irish and I found that part funny. Get over yourself Perez. It's nothing compared to the posts you make about Robert and Zac.

    Im Aussie….I laughed lol

  10. Emily Bek says – reply to this

Hey - what about the fact that the guest said "great to have me"!!!!! LOL!

  11. britney says – reply to this

… she called him a leprechaun, i personally don't think that was racist. sure, if he got offended then it's wrong to say, but it was all in good humor. you obviously don't know Australia. and as for the laughing, yes it's wrong.. but you CANNOT say you've never laughed in a serious conversation; intentionally or not. she obviously tried to control it, and she apologized.

Did you really just try to make this a newsworthy item on your shitty site?

  13. 13

australia is kinda stuck in the 60's. It isn't america and they don't "get it". They think black face is ok.

  14. blah says – reply to this

Re: charliechaplin@ – Australia is not stuck in the sixities. Australians just know how to have a laugh and not take themselves too seriously.

  15. ss says – reply to this

that's australia for you - inbred retards.

  16. JBieber says – reply to this

What did she say that was racist? Leprechaun? That's not racist. You need to pull your head out of someone else's ass and learn what racism is.

Stick to making money out of bullying celebrities, that's what you're good at.

  17. kate says – reply to this

Re: charliechaplin@ – I really dont think america can talking about "getting it"

  18. 18

Australians are the most blatantly racist people I've ever met. They have this whole Aussie Attitude thing where they just don't care. These are people who have grown up in a country where they have no consequences for making fun of their Asian, Indian, and black population. They make jokes about these people forgetting that they invaded the country and killed the aboriginals. They have a tainted history, they shouldn't joke or laugh about it.

  19. Zip says – reply to this

I'm part Irish, and there is no racial overtones going on with this story. Leprechaun is a cute terms of affection, not hate-speech, nor would it, or could it, have been considered that way…in this context, as she was flirting with him, and saying that she liked him. In addition, there was nothing sexually vulgar about this. The Aussies have a very healthy sense of human sexuality, that prudish Americans don't. Here in America, everything is considered dirty, or is made to be dirty…by some. Well, when it comes to romance, this is how friendly and well-meaning adults talk, in-terms of making lite romantic overtures which are presented in-jest. It is a way of saying to the opposite sex, "Do you like me??? If not, you won't joke back in a similar flirty way, and I'll know you don't feel the same." I find it refreshing to hear some healthy adult talk, without people gasping in shock…afterwards.

Re: ss – I'm guessing you are American? lol hilarious, someone from the most hated country in the western world calling another countries citizens "retards".

  21. 21

it was a human mistake…. this article is completely unnecessary and full of shit!

  22. 22

Re: Jumperchu – Oh shut the FUCK up you piece of lying shit

  23. Jarileey says – reply to this

Re: ss – come on…thats a bit harsh dont you think? at least we know how to have a laugh.

  24. 24

Re: ss – Yeah cos racism doesn't exist anywhere in USA right? At least Australia doesn't have ghettos fucktard

  25. 25

Re: charliechaplin@ – How would you describe race relations in the USA right now? Hey ask Paula deen or Zimmerman…..asshole

  26. heather says – reply to this

It's sad to see everyone attacking each other on this thread based on living in other countries. Every country has it's own pro's :D I didn't think she said anything racist it was just a little joke. As for the giggles come on?! She clearly appologized and sometimes it's just hard to stop giggling.

  27. 27

Stop trying to put American standards on Australia. Different country, different way of life. There was nothing offensive about any of this.

  28. bleh says – reply to this

    Re: ss

"inbred retards" i think thats more offensive than her mistake and a massive stereotype

  29. 29

You know what I can't stand about you people on here. This man can't post a story or have an opinion on anything, without you bringing up his past and calling him a hypocrite. Like you're sooo perfect. Oh no, you've never said or done anything to hurt another person EVER. He went from being an Awful person, a bully, to being a ' regular' Joe with an opinion. Not a saint, not the second coming of Christ. ←→ Now, about the news reporter. I notice the folks on TTS would have Natalie say the more serious news away from all the joking so she can keep her composer. It's not her fault, sometimes you just can't stop laughing.

  30. 30

    It happens sometimes. No biggie!

  31. 31

she said SORRY. we all know she was laughing because of WHAT SHE SAID ABOUT THE GUY.she's just awkward with men apparently and yeah she screed up but it had been nervous laughter

  32. Lori says – reply to this

She did not mean it at ALL, obviously. She had the giggles and not only apologized, but did so IMMEDIATELY! Back the fuck off.

  33. Leilani Lolesio says – reply to this

Oh wow what an idiot. Trust the dumb australians to always be making jokes out of serious shit. Someone was probably making her carry on the laugh but soooo unprofessional.

  34. Australianistic says – reply to this

Pretty sad that you tag this australiastic you great bafoon, I'd rather be Australian than a gossiping celeb stalker.
