Good for her!
Given today’s Supreme Court Prop 8 and DOMA rulings, it’s great to see Hollywood celebs using their fame to stand up for what they believe in.
Pregnant Halle Berry is the latest to speak up to the California legislative committee — this time, in favor of the state’s new anti-paparazzi bill.
The bill, that was approved yesterday following the actress’ testimony, will be set in place to protect famous celebrity children from getting their pictures taken.
Halle, who has had her fair share of issues with the papz, told the committee:
“My daughter doesn’t want to go to school because she knows ‘the men’ are watching for her. They jump out of the bushes and from behind cars and who knows where else, besieging these children just to get a photo.”
“If it (the law) passes, the quality of my life and my children’s lives will be dramatically changed.”
Way to go, lady!!!
