Turns out controversy is just for the landlubbers!!!

Alice Travel, the company that organizes the Paula Deen Cruise, a weeklong trip around the Carribean, has announced that due to popular demand, there will be not one but TWO Paula Deen Cruises next year.

Phyllis Loverdi, vice president of Alice Travel, released this statement:

Due to the amazing response we've had in the past years from Paula's fans, we are actually planning 2 Paula Deen Cruises for 2014. In the 5 years that I have been working with Paula and her staff it has been an amazing journey. I listen to so many people telling Paula their stories of how she inspired them when they were going through bad times. I had the same experience, so I understand. If Paula goes, we go with her and from what we are hearing, so are her fans.

We’ve recommended that Paula hush her mouth about this whole mess, so maybe a cruise is just what she needs — as long as Matt Lauer’s not on it! LOLz!!!

I hear she and Martha Stewart are opening up a bunch of strip club - buffets joints
    called 'greedy pigs'.

Good for her. I'm not one of her supporters but obviously she has a lot of supporters therefore she's cashing in. She's too shady. She obviously doesn't feel sorry but maybe not because she's a racist she's probably just an ignorant redneck woman.

I just saw that her book, which doesn't come out till October, is already #1 on Amazon through pre orders. Guess any kind of publicity is good publicity. I'm sure a lot of people didn't even know who Paula Deen was until this happened. Not everybody watches the food network.

Where do you get off "recommending" anything to Ms. Deen? And why would she listen to someone like you! You are just like Amanda Bynes except she is at least entertaining.

I'm a black man. I love Paula Deen. You racebaiting white people won't ever cause me to stop liking Paula Deen. Leave her alone, creeps.

Her brand is tainted but haven't we all said something stupid? I understand her apology but the more she talks the more she's shoveling her butter behind into a deeper hole. Matt Lauer and the rest of media really need to let it go already too.

Re: Beaunyc – She's a racist for calling a black man who held a gun to her head while robbing her place of employment 30-some years ago the n-word while telling her husband about it in the privacy of their own home? And then you proceed to call her an ignorant redneck woman on a public message board. Bless your heart.

I'm sure every single person in this world has, at one time or another, said something they regret. She owned up to her mistake. She didn't have to be truthful and admit it. Let those without sin cast the first stone. I think the backlash she is getting is ridiculous. She is being punished for what she said. People need to forgive and move on. What's ironic is that I see a lot of African Americans coming to her defense. It's people that she didn't directly offend that are up in arms about the whole situation. While I don't condone what she did or said, I also can understand that the incident in question was 30 years ago. I wouldn't want to be judged for something I said that far ago in my past.

Good for her….maybe now she can sail away with her $17 mil and leave the rest of us alone…..free from her heart stopping, diabetic leaning, fattening recipes forever!

Isn't Alice Travel a lesbian owned travel agency? If so, at least she isn't a homophobe along with an apologetic racist?

I like Paula! As a descendant of white, 17th cent Finnish Slavers, myself - I say shit happened! Now, I, too cook Negro food and invoke "Ya'll" on occasion! :) )
