The Supreme Court Finally Rules DOMA Unconstitutional! Prop 8 Dismissed On Standing! Same Sex Marriage Restored In California!

doma prop 8(1)

YES!!!!

We are so EXCEEDINGLY happy to report that moments ago, in a 5-4 decision, DOMA has been ruled unconstitutional!!! Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Anthony Kennedy wrote the decision, and shared with his constituants that "this decision is a declaration of equal rights" for gay Americans.

DOMA is the 90s-era law that was signed by President Clinton and denied federal benefits. Now, legally married gay men and women are entitled to claim the same federal benefits that are available to opposite-sex married couples.

R.I.P DOMA! You won't be missed!!!

And now for the moment that makes this moment even sweeter!!!

Prop 8 has been dismissed on standing! With no challenge to the law, same-sex marriage will be restored in California! Same-sex marriage will be available in CA, at least where court clerks take the position that Prop 8 is unconstitutional.

I don't know why YOU'RE so happy; it's not as though anyone wants to marry YOU. Having to look at your hideous face every day for the rest of one's life would make someone not only very ill, but also suicidal. This will be appealed, homo … that gives the conservative judges the opportunity to remind the liberals on the SCOTUS panel that the states should set their own policies on homo marriage (and you queers shouldn't be allowed to get married only to clog our courts with your divorces).

ROFL … if your ridiculous interpretation was right, court clerks could be held in contempt if they took it upon themselves to do such a thing. No, Perez, the movement against homo marriage is far from over, and I'm going to donate money to assist the groups that are working hard to see to it that you deviant freaks are barred from corrupting the institution of marriage. :D

Re: Pansy Hunter – Because you heterosexuals aren't clogging the courts with divorce?? Maybe you should pull your head out of your ass long enough to get some oxygen to your brain so that you can have a somewhat intellectual conversation.

Sorry, but your little chump change isn't going to make a single dent in the advancement of gay marriage. Save your coins to pay for the meds you obviously need to be taking. You sound like the only "freak" on this board.

Re: Pansy Hunter – I don't normally leave comments on sites but I guess I'll make an exception. Who are you to say who should and should not be able to get married. How does anyone's marriage affect your life in the slightest? The answer is it doesn't. I can see no sound argument why two men or two women should be denied the right to be married. If two people love each other and want to spend the rest of their life together they should have every right to do so. As an American I am appalled and embarrassed that my country can not stand together as equals.

Re: Pansy Hunter – To actively go out of your way to abuse people as much as you do makes you the lowest form of scum. Ive come to accept that some people will always have a problem with homosexuality and equal rights. My solution, don't marry someone the same sex, beyond that how could it possibly concern or affect you. You don't have to like it or agree, but how is it even your business how others lead their lives. Find security in you own and leave others alone.

Re: Pansy Hunter – so funny the first thing you thought to do after this amazing news was to come to this site and spew your usual hatred and bigotry. i mean you truly are a very strange, bitter person.

How do you know for sure no one would want to marry PH? Personally, I wouldn't want to, but there's always someone for everyone. I'm pretty sure some fool puts up with you.
PS His feelings haven't been hurt yet by anything you say on here, but it's amusing reading your crazy rants in an attempt to take him down.
