This is getting messier and more mind-boggling than Paula Deen's sticky N word sitch!
Not only did he call the writer a "toxic little queen," but he also tweeted, "If (sic) put my foot up your f***ing ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much."
But whatever you might be thinking about these comments, Alec initially DENIED them having any relation to being homophobic. Sure, that might seem like a stretch, but he explained:
"The idea of me calling this guy a 'queen' and that being something that people thought is homophobic … a queen to me has a different meaning. It’s somebody who’s just above. It doesn’t have any necessarily sexual connotations. To me a queen … I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn’t have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don’t apply to them."
So what about the foot in ass thing?
Well, Alec must have realized he actually did go too far with his comments because he ended up apologizing to the LGBT community for everything that had gone down. However, he did deny those comments came from a homophobic place, which we certainly hope is true.
Next time, he just might want to choose his words a
little lot more wisely!
