Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger Do It Canadian Style By Getting Hitched On Canada Day!

avril lavigne chad kroeger wedding france canada day

Cheers, eh?

After much speculation about what was going down in France, it sounds like a full-blown, rock 'n' roll wedding has finally taken place!

Although we would've expected these famous Canadians to be tying the knot back home with maybe some Canadian mounties leading the procession, it seems Avril Lavigne and her Nickelback honey Chad Kroeger wanted a much more European wedding…

…but don't worry, the two did do Canada right during this rumored wedding as they apparently tied the knot on Canada Day!

It's being reported that they completed their three-day celebration in France with the official ceremony.

And it wasn't just the day that honored their Canadian roots because they also reportedly decorated the event in red and white.

Now we hope it's just a matter of time before they add a little Canadian bundle of joy to their family.

And we don't mean a bundle of Candian bacon, Perezcious readers!

I love Perez but seriously not all Canadians say aboot and eh? The joke is getting old, try something new. You would not want to be generalized would you???

They got married about 100 meteres away from my flat, in a little sea side village called La Napoule, in the south of France, in the red brick castle. We heard the fireworks go off !!!

As a Canadian (in Ontario), I can safely say that I have NEVER heard anyone say "aboot" and "eh" is very rare (actually pronounced as 'ey' as opposed to 'eh' as in 'meh' which is used more).
I don't recall seeing a Mountie more than maybe twice.
Also, I had never heard of "Canadian bacon" till I visited NYC in 04 and that shit was so not bacon. Feel dumb yet?
